After much research on TH-cam on how to fix one and not embarrass myself, I stumbled upon your channel. I’m saying all of this to say, my family was shocked on how good it was. The only ingredient I omitted was the flour because my batter was very thick!!! I’ve literally have been crying because I gained respect on a black folks thanksgiving 😂 or maybe they were just trying to make me feel good? Either way I thought the recipe was fabulous. Thank you!

that little layer of mushy crust between the pie is where it's at. i also love that when my mom would make it that way in just a standard egg custard pie. sooo good!

I’ve never tried adding flour to this pie!!😱 and my mom and I always use lemons juice in the pie to give it that tangy goodness too 🤤🤤😄 it’s sooo good . Imma try that flour trick in my next one! God bless! ❤️

When making sweets you have to use salted butter or add some salt, it helps balance the sugar. If you don't it leaves a nasty after taste on your tongue.
