Susie Pearl talks to Betty Edwards, author of 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain', about drawing, art, creativity and writing.
Betty Edward´s famous book, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, has been a bestseller in art and creativity books since its first publication in 1979. It has been translated into over 17 languages and continues to sell well. It was a NY Times bestseller for over a year when it first came out. The book was an immediate hit and has gone on to sell millions of copies.
Betty's most recent book is called 'Drawing on the Dominant Eye: Decoding the Way We Perceive, Create, and Learn'. We talk about her writing, her life and creativity. I love Betty.

Susie Pearl, thank you for this video, it is absolutely wonderful. I’ll be watching more of your videos and looking at your books. Betty Edwards is the most wonderful, talented, beautiful, artist and writer. I have loved her from 1979 when I found her first book. I have all her books and it is wonderful to read and study them. If I could only have one art book, it would be “Drawing On the Right Side Of the Brain”. I share that information with others. Not only artist, but a brilliant book for police officers and investigators. I worked as an investigator in child and family services and this gave me the skills I needed to see what was going on with the families. Seeing Mrs. Edwards, at 94, writing another book, is proof that her books are great for everyone to learn from and live a long active life. Thank you Mrs. Edwards for sharing your work with us.
