Have to say I’m a little nervous switching from a BmW PHEV to a VW EV, even on my 2020 car the infotainment has been brilliant, smooth, responsive and just did everything as it should. I’ve driven and Enyaq and ID4 from 2023 and they just aren’t as polished. But then I didn’t think the Kia or Mercedes systems were all that either. Only Tesla are the ones that seem to have nailed it. That said the ID7 seems to be decent but that’s only on a 60 min test drive.

Great thanks, I assume the car need some mobile data connection for sending to your phone app , eg photos. how much is that?
i feel that the smaller screen of iDrive 8.5/9 is just not as good as the large one found in i4 and up
