Finally! I've been waiting for this one, seeing the addition (the open part), it was well worth the wait. Nice to see the boat open completely with good weather, in comparison to the closed view. Love this boat, it looks great and the layout offers so much! Sporty look, huge sunpad, garage for the tender, jetski on the bathing platform, up to 4 cabins and a massive seating area up on the bow. Everything you need. Best part is the size which means it can be owner operated, get your friends on board and away... Yea this is the one! Come on lottery!!!

Amen brother.I aint never going to own one of these floating works of art, but listening to Nick describe & explain all the features is very compelling. He is the "Larry King" of Yacht Tours. 😃
@@AQUAHOLIC : Nick, I believe that on the engines the choice is either 2300hp or 2400hp total, not 2300hp or 2400hp each. Can you confirm? Right from Fairline's website for the 65 GTO: "Engines & Performance 2 x Caterpillar C18 shaft drive, diesel (2300hp) 31 knots 2 x MAN V8 1200 shaft drive, diesel (2400hp) 31 knots"
That center lift door on that table is a great idea...Keep drinks etc. on the 2 outer ones and anyone sitting in the center of couch can simply lift and exit without everyone having to move...Great boat, beautiful.
Well laid out Fairline, I would definitely also opt for the kitchen on the main deck area. 3 Separate rooms with all with en suite on the below decks is a huge plus 👍 Great tour Nick 📹
Some boat for the money!! Cracking boat, Fairline stepping their game up. Would be nice to see some vids with the full tour plus a sea trail Nick - appreciate the logistics would be a nightmare however a 30 min review from yourself would be fantastic!
For a 65 foot boat, this thing is very impressive. Beautiful woodwork and I really like the high gloss finish. I think the galley could be more consolidated to make room for forward facing seating beside the helm seats.....that would be cool. I would not change anything else. Beautiful boat.
The hull color was marvelous. The attention to details like the anchor being out of sight and the cleats is wonderful. The satin I do prefer. Would rather not keep seeing myself in in every wall I look at. Liked the contrast between the two models. Another brilliant your.
First, I must say that the multiple layouts are a great option although I did like it as it was. The only change I would make is to remove the extra day head as there are already enough via the cabins. Fell for the high gloss finishes especially below and that stylish backboard at the head of the master bed. The ensuite in the master also had a great lot of room. The galley had a good lot of space especially to work on. Don't know why some insist on placing fridges next to cooktops, really no sense in that. Could've had more storage as I felt with that much space more could have been added. The deck had plenty of room especially when opened up. Liked the screen that showed where the mega yachts are as the last thing you'd want to do is run into one of those! Nice sleek exterior but still in love with my Sunseeker San Remo 2014!
Thanks again for a very informative video. One thing you pointed out was the grab rail I would like to see it extended a little further, but in saying that not many boats of this type have them and it's a safety feature I always look for.
Very nice. That one _almost_ had me reaching for my diamond encrusted cheque book (figuratively speaking, of course. Obviously, I have a man that I pay to brandish my cheque book for me), but not _quite._ Sadly, as is so _often_ the case, the marine architects had neglected to include a landing pad for my solid gold Harrier jump jet and that's a deal breaker. "It's only a sixty five foot boat!" wailed the Targa rep. "You're wasting my time," I told him and concluded our meeting by ordering Igor to fling him out of the helicopter door. He kept banging on about how an eighty ton solid gold aeroplane would not only need a much bigger yacht, but that such weight would require serious structural reinforcement, as well as presenting severe buoyancy issues. Problems, problems, all the kid had to show me was problems. I didn't want to hear his problems. I'm a solutions kind of guy, and I demonstrated that fact by solving the problem of my current deep irritation by having Igor fling it into the ocean hundreds of feet below. _"The office number's on my card!"_ hollered the rep as he span down towards the water. Ahhh, meditation. I had just achieved a state of perfect Zen like serenity, an utterly beatific joy, using nothing but the power of my own mind and three valium, when Igor indicated to me that his personal secretary had indicated to him that my personal secretary had indicated that my phone was ringing. Apparently my solid gold Harrier jump jet had proved to be a little more than my penthouse helipad could sustain. According to my test pilot, solid gold was not an ideal material for manufacturing airframes. It was, he said, rather too heavy. Indeed, when one factored in the _additional_ additional weight of the twin Saturn V rocket motors that had replaced the original engines in order to counteract the weight of the gold airframe, well, the whole package was straying alarmingly into the realm of the unsafe. I confess that I took issue with my pilot's "unsafe" assessment to begin with, until he pointed out that he was, in fact, calling from seventeen or eighteen floors _below_ the rooftop landing pad in the still smouldering wreckage of some lesser mortal's bathroom. I asked if I should send someone with the cheque book. He suggested that it might be an idea to begin with emergency services and work our way down to cash reimbursement later. _Down?_ Work our way _down_ to the financial details? A bizarre approach, but I took his point: leaving injured and dead little people all over the place might attract unfavourable publicity and then I'd _never_ get the green light for my latest project: a seventy foot hight platinum statue of me (naturally) which will accompany me everywhere I go, a permanently moving sculpture exhibition and demonstration of my commitment to the arts. I might be an investment banker, but I have the soul of an investment banker that likes showing off his latest art acquisitions loudly and in public. I wonder if anyone will sell me an aircraft carrier?
Like the Satin finish a lot more. The gloss just makes everything unnecessarily shiny, which in my opinion just detracts from the overall decoration choices.
I absolutely love everything about this vessel!! I'd have to imagine it would be perfect for cruising from New England in summer, to the Keys, or the Caribbean in winter, especially considering it would be a great time to "get out of Dodge" with a Nor'Easter heading in this weekend. 😉 @AQUAHOLIC : I very much enjoy your tours!! 👍🏼👍🏼❤
Stepping on the black strips on the swim platform would literally burn you in Florida. Same with the slippery tinted glass in the bow seating area. The swim platform sides are raised, too, which would be a toe stubbing PITA. Other than that, it is a damn good looking boat.
Congrats! Although I guess you have done hundreds or perhaps even thousands of such boat reviews, such as this one, you ALWAYS manage to sound enthusiastic about every single one of them, which must be difficult to achieve. For such a fine boat as the Fairline Targa 65 it's easy to be enthusiastic, of course, but not for all. Nice going!
I much prefer the satin finish. It just seems warmer and "homier." I'm already planning the logistics of what I need to take her out for a two-week cruise: Plenty of beverages, snacks, supplies for 14 days' worth of gourmet meals, extra filters, oil, tools for maintenance/adjustments, top off the fuel tanks, pack the US and dive flags, have the tender and Waverunner serviced, get SCUBA tanks filled, wetsuits, weight belts, buoyancy compensators and regulators checked, diving masks, snorkels, swim fins, dive log book, casual wear, swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, toiletries, fishing gear, lots of music, movies, and books for relaxing - and my captain's hat, of course.
Hey Nick.. I have literally watched probably 200 videos that you have presented. For some reason this particular yacht is Awesome for me.. Just wish that it was the normal full tour including the crew cabin

Another great boat. I have to say that you haven't reviewed a bad one yet, or have you😉 I have an itch that really needs dealing with, mmm you say. But seriously, how about one of these 65 foot boats that are capable of more than a few hundred miles? Maybe a couple of stops on the way to the Balearic islands and then on to malta, or is this not the done thing? As you can gather it may say "salty dog", but nothing could be rather from the truth.
