Happy Birthday Hazel! The yard is looking so good Graham. The man hole looks brilliant never seen that modeled before. The smoke unit in the engine shed will look so good. Take care all the best Graham and Hazel.
Many thanks for that very kind comment my friend and so pleased that you liked the hole in the ground and the engine shed smoke unit, I’m looking forward to seeing how that turns out! 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham
It really is those little details that really bring a layout to life. Love the hole!!! Thats is such a next idea. You might not have seen it on anyone else's layout, but I imagine you might see it on future ones! Great video as always. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Andy
Hi Andy and thanks for the kind comment, I know that several folk who have seen that hole in ground have said that they now want to do something similar on their layout which is great news, I certainly don’t have a problem with that and in fact feel quite flattered to think that someone wants to have it on their layout. As I said in the video, I’m sure somebody somewhere has most likely done this before although I must admit, I haven’t seen it myself. 👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham
Hi Steve and you are quite correct, I think a little smoke coming out of those chimneys will add a nice little effect to the yard. I’m looking forward to developing this. 👍🏻. Cheers. ……….Graham
You’ve got that well sorted. Your heritage area is looking really spiffy. Lots of variety of textures. Nice going. I do like it. It will be fun operating and shunting locos around it now. cheers, Rob
Thanks Rob and exactly my thoughts too. I haven’t anywhere else on the layout to do this and this is a good a place as any to do just that and have a bit of fun time rather than just seeing trains going round and round. Plus of course it adds a bit of realism and fun to the layout at the same time. 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham
Thank you very much Dave for the comment and I have to admit that now it’s progressing then I’m pleased so far with the outcome - onwards and upwards as they say! 👍🏻. Cheers. ………..Graham

Happy Birthday to Hazel. Nice to see the yard looking good (really like how it's coming along), but your priorities are correct - your better half! We all need to remember which side of the bed we're buttered on.
Wow, Graham Foulston, this area has changed from last time I saw your content. I'm amazed at how this area has transformed brilliant work. I look forward to the next update video. Happy birthday, Hazel 🎉
Thank you my friend for those very kind words which are greatly appreciated too. Looking great Graham, take as long as you like. As long as you are happy that is the most important thing. I am sure you will keeping adding more details in time. Often people say that a layout is never finished and complete. Looking forward to more videos as the entire layout is developed further, Thank you Clive.

I don't think we mind being on the tripod Graham! It's a bit of a balancing act though. I have to have a word with you about your yard ballasting - it's too neat and you're showing the rest of us up!!! The man in a hole is a great idea and I'll definitely be borrowing it. And coins make excellent circles (you know what I mean) - I've used random foreign coins on different projects. Cheers.
Hi Davie and thanks for the comment mate, much appreciated too. I like the man in the hole, I think it just adds a little bit of fun to what could be just another yard scene. Yes, as I said in the video, the ballast is a little too neat at the moment but hopefully I can make it a little more scruffy as I go on but you have to start somewhere I guess! 😉👍🏻. The old steam trains were hard to clean I was watching a video on TH-cam about the old steam trains on how they cleaned them and some of the train drivers said they prefer the diesel train's to the old trains they used to work on one said it was more pleasant now nice and warm and some of the fireman became drivers how much work they had to do to clean the train so much ash that came out of the train incredible
