Those JC penny trees are so cute! I almost got a new tree this year, but, I’m making effort to be more mindful of what I bring into my home, and using what have instead of getting new as it’s better for our planet.
Your aesthetic is so Scandinavian right now. I’m heading back to Sweden for Xmas and that’s what their trees literally look like. You can’t find other trees. They’re always sparse. And then your cushion, the bells, the sparse flowers etc… all soooo Swedish. Love it

The candle holder immediately made me think of Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas past. And the stockings I think could be easily done by hand sewing or using a sewing machine. I have been thinking about using this beautiful morrocan rug patterned upholstery fabric to sew my own and just embroider everyone's initials. I do want to use a different pattern in the same morrocan rug fabric for each person. This video was inspiring.

So jealous….I would love to switch out my Christmas ornaments As I used to do in my 20’s and early 30s ….BUT… I’m now in my mid 40s and as the mother of 2 children and the only female in my family I have since inherited all the family keepsake ornaments from my mother and my aunts. Kids, brothers and cousins all love to see my tree to reminisce about each ornament soooo now I’m stuck with what I’ve got. Beautiful in its own right and so special but really cramps my holiday decor! Have fun with it now!

I'd love for you to do some Christmas decor upcycling. I've gotten pretty tired of my decorations from the past many years as well but I hate the idea of throwing out perfectly usable things. You have such a way with craftsmanship that I'm certain whatever you do to upcycle things would be amazing!
Loved all of this! I would save those candle vessels when they’re done. You probably already know this hack....I put them in the freezer. After they freeze, the remaining wax pops out easily. Sometimes I have to break it up and scrape it out a bit. But so far this is the best hack I’ve found for removing old wax.

I have seen people use bricks down in the inside of a basket or pot and lay a large chunk of round Hard foam on top then stab your tree through the middle to hold it inside the basket or pot without using the legs the tree comes with! I have been giving Christmas ornaments to my family for the past 20+ years. So when I saw the metal leaf ones I had to get them...mostly bc they won't break when shipped. Yea I think going more with capturing a vibe is better than a theme because you can easily mix and match.

Very inspiring! Your talent is amazing and I appreciate all of the ideas. For Christmas, although the ornaments are incredibly gorgeous, I won't be able to do the coordinating theme thingy. My ornaments represent moments in time, memories of family, friends, events. Can't give that up. And my home can't have multiple trees.
