Are you looking for a classic flybridge boat? Then check out this 2005 Bayliner 2858 EC Flybridge Cruiser. "Serenity" can be driven from either station, but it's a lot more fun from the top deck surrounded by a few friends. The cockpit offers room for deck chairs or leave open to land the fish and you can relax on the foredeck with (removable) cushions. She's well powered by a Mercruiser 350 MPI Mag @ 300HP and a Bravo III Drive to "Get up and go".
Bayliner has built versions of this vessel for many years. Why? Because folks like the exterior space and importantly the interior! There's over 6' of headroom, multiple sleeping areas and a full open galley. The best feature is the openness with opening windows all around. After all, would you rather be"down below" enclosed or have a million dollar view of the water and your surroundings?
The vessel is well equipped for day cruising or weekend get-a-ways to your favorite anchorage.

In the "PIG" (Product information Guides) from Bayliner in the early 2000''s a 4.2L Diesel (200 HP) is listed with Bravo II drives as an international option. Cruise MPH 21.2 mph/11.3 gph, WOT 27.8 mph/13.8 gph, 191 Cruising range.

Wish this was same beam as the 2556. This is too wide to tow on road in NZ. 9'6" is max

That lesser beam would make the vessel too unstable considering the height unless you added weight below.

Sorry but way under powered. Need a 7.4

The OEM performance specs with the 7.4LT are very close. Having driven and sold boats with both engines, I would prefer the 7.4. Can't quite put my finger on the difference but it's just "there". The 350 seems to be straining and working hard, the 7.4LT seems "comfortable.
