Sorry you guys had carb issues, but thankfully you made it home safely! I'm looking at Maxum 2400 SCR's and equivalent Bayliners currntly. I'm definitely favoring towards the Maxum. I love the layout! Just waiting for my boat to sell, and we'll see what's on the market. I'm up in Bellingham, so maybe we'll see you out in the islands! Take care.
Thanks for sharing guys! I enjoyed watching your little adventure. Way to be "flexible"...and still have fun, even though the engine issues. Hard to beat boating in the Salish Sea!
Saw this video via "Sailing Puget Sound and San Juan Islands" page. I suspect you have some debris in the fuel tank and stirred it up on your trip north. You might look into installing an additional inline screw on type fuel filter to catch any of that junk before it gets in your carburetor. Had this happen to us in Rosario Straits last spring during a storm and almost lost the boat.

Nice! Glad your Dad was available. Warn me next time you head up. Our boat is in Shelter Bay.
I love it.. I’m about to go to Kuzma’s for the 1st time. I’m watching your video, and your wife states that she got her clams @ Kuzma’s.
I’m off!

What's your fuel burn rate per hour on a trip running at cruising speeds on a long trip?
We burn 9-10 GPH and cruise between 19-22kts. I think that is around 2.5 nmpg. Pretty efficient for a powerboat
We're looking at potentially buying the same kind of boat and hope you can help me figure out the fuel consumption. Any thoughts?
@@piercepoweradventures thank you!
@@ClintWilcoxen are you in the PNW? We may be upgrading soon
