He's lying saying he thought of a choir to say lord knows it's off of a sample called Lord Lord by Andrew Brown made a while ago he just looped a few bars and added drums
lmao if you think that. Have you heard the 2? Did he get inspired by "Lord, Lord"? Probably. Maybe even styled it from that But he didn't just "loop a few bars and added Drums". He didn't use any of the master. They had it all replayed and he arranged it in a way that sounds exactly like a Just Blaze beat.
@j4s2v1 hes not a lot of big name producers do this so they dont have to pay sample fees. He heard the og sample and used a choir to recreate it while adding his own drums. This is common practice
@j4s2v1 its not thievery, it’s repurposing something that would have sat in cobwebs otherwise. 🤷🏾♂️ Btw i dont agree with him not mentioning the og sample tho I think you should always give credit
@@royale9998 im right there with you. im glad someone mentioned it cause it doesnt even credit it on genius, he really must not wanna pay those royalties haha
this would have been a great video to listen to if they would have told the audience to be quiet and listen... like why show up if you're going to talk through the whole thing.. irking the shit outta me lmao...
Hey didn’t have to lie and say he came up with the sample. I still think it’s dope that he found a 70’s gospel song and made an incredible song. Just is one of my favorite producers but the lie will destroy you.
yeah bro the sample is actually from "Lord Lord" by andrew brown and national baptist convention choir it's low for him to say that he played the chorus on his keys
The sample melody is amazing but the drums are what’s really smacking on this beat. The programming of the drums might the dopest I’ve ever heard on a beat.
I’ve noticed that with Just Blaze. Don’t get me wrong, the man is talented, but it’s like he wants ALL the credit. He doesn’t have to lie about it. I always had that this weird vibe from him ever since I saw a video of him chopping up a sample back when TH-cam first came out (I believe that video is still up), and he had this fake persona about him.
Definitely did but it's common practice for producers to rebuild the sample from scratch. This is done when the sample owners ask for too much money. Shady game or smart game depending on who u are
@@mesutozil9486 Well, in the video Charlamagne asks how he did the drums and he says, "my fingers". Sounds like an implication that he perhaps used an mpc or something like it.
There actually use to be a clip loaded up 5 yrs ago of Just Blaze in the studio with a small choir recording all the "lord knows" parts.....dont know why it got taken down.
He's a snake and a liar claiming that he created this sample when truth is he took it form a gospel song from 1974...4 years before he was actually born. The thief always comes to steal, kill and destroy. The devil has been a liar from the beginning. I hope the estate of Dr. Andrew Brown get the credit and royalties they deserve from this thief!
These drums are incredible
Long red mountain
One of the most famous drum samples
Dylan wissing did the drums on this.
The crowd was loud as hell
Mathieu Riesling Bro,you're everywhere
they better be talking about that crazy ass beat or i’m fighting em all 😂
They can't understand who's in front of them
That beat is forever dope #justblaze
Genius, and he’s using logic 🙌🏾
Man I this beat was soo nostalgic back then

Meme Lord Ant look it up he samples the original, 1978 Andrew Brown he took the drums and everything

This is amazing.
Anyone recognize the vst he used for "This is me playing the keyboard sound" before he had the Harlem Choir sing over it?
Lord Lord by Andrew Brown.
@@F_Andthe vst, not the sample
what's the vst
@@L0ps1d3I don’t think it’s a vst I think it’s a sample
Great content. Just wish the audio was a little more clear... had to rewind a few times
thats beautifulll
this is actually awesome
Legendary.
As Dope as Just Blaze is, he just went up another 100 points for the Storm Shadow sticker on the Macbook!

He partially came up with the sample. “And I know the sun will rise with me” isn’t on Lord Lord. The rest he took from the song tho

So Andrew Brown and the nationals “Lord, Lord” had nothing to do with it at all????

Wonder where those drums were sampled from.. I HAVE TO KNOW.
He’s worked with a lot of drummers in the past and has even drummed himself so he’s probably sampled himself or others playing

He used a real choir to re-sing.....aka..resampling of sorts
@@FlowProneHe didn’t but he probably said so to avoid a lawsuit
