Yes, total control of the wedding is turned over to one of the in-laws, which can be a scary thought. But the couple doesn't just choose which mother gets to plan the event -- that would be too easy. The soon-to-be mothers-in-law must battle it out to see who comes out on top to earn the honor of being able to plan her child's big day. Will everyone be able to put their tensions and feelings for one another aside to plan and execute a fairy-tale wedding?

I love that June bought her daughter that dress, they got to share a moment of her mother coming in and saving the day and that daughter will forever remember her mother doing that for her. They got to share really special bond in that moment and Donna obviously only cared that it was "sexy" she did not listen at all to the daughter, she just wanted to be empower above June.

These mothers especially the wild mom, need to remember it’s not THEIR wedding. I really love how her mom quietly got a dress she knows her daughter would love and didn’t say anything until her daughter looked like she was going to start crying. She was absolutely gorgeous!!
I am so happy June bought a suitable dress for her daughter. Donna didn't care about one word the bride had to say in regards to feeling uncomfortable in the dresses she chose. She just went with the unsuitable dress to spite the brides mother, The dress June chose was far far nicer that the other one. I hope this couple have a long and happy marriage. I truly think this couple chose the wrong Mother to arrange the wedding.

I feel like the show would be a lot more interesting if they handed over control to both of the mothers. To have them figure things out, the way a couple would.

It’s SO Canadian in a very sweet way! About 10 years ago we attended a friend’s wedding where they also chose the Stanley cup to top their wedding cake. 😂

Yes...... agreed that would really improve this show..... They should be able to pick out the elements they liked from both presentations because it is a marrying of the two people and then the two moms could work together to make it happen

haven't talked to my mom in a long time- she has some traits of a narcissist. However, I do feel like in a moment like this, she would listen to me or try to keep it simple but classy. I can give her some credit. She would do well. Then again, there's not much I would be too picky about with a wedding.

I would not want to plan my DIL and son's wedding, or my SIL and daughter's wedding. But if I was on a show like this and had to do it, I'd already know at least some of what the bride and groom want and go from there. I'd just want them to their best day. It's not my day, _theirs._

Donna had no right, a mother and daughter share the dress moment and Donna acting ugly not that mother to have that moment with her bride daughter cause Donna set the wedding up to her son and to the bride and groom....... This episode well Donna lol kinda ticked me off a lil.

It's funny how everyone is saying that Donna was so wrong in her dress choice but Janine agreed to the dress she saw when they first presented the ideas that Donna had picked a more form-fitting dress even in the dress that her mom picked out she would have to suck in the end because it's form-fitting down a little passed the waist
My mom saw my vision just like I did. She in fact picked my dress. I would have trusted my mom 100%. I also know my MIL would have been a graceful and eager assistant.
Omg, that last episode was cracking me up! When she picked her dress and the mom walked away the bride: 🙈 "so, what happened?" LMAO thinking she is still there. The son finding out they heard everything in the beginning; "well isn't that rude" eyeballing them in disbelief hahahaha. (Gaslighting to its finest) trying the mother's food: "come in, it's so good"... "Is it?" (Hands her hers) they are too funny 🤣

I love both of these moms. They managed to put their differences aside despite wanting such diametrically different weddings. I also loved the June mother's decision to go back and get an extra wedding dress just because she was scared that ger daughter would feel uncomfortable in the one Donna chose. She only offered it after truly seeing that her daughter absolutely didn't like the first dress.
I could wiuld feel fine with pretty much anything for a wedding as long as I felt comfy and beautiful in the dress - and I was marrying the love of my life, of course.

Jin & Christalynn Wedding was beautiful, White is not a traditional wedding color for a bride in Jin's Culture but the white Lehenga was absolutely beautiful and a good compromise. I also Loved the purple reception Lehenga I am so happy the mothers were able to come together and make this wedding beautiful I see a happy future for both families sharing cultures with the grandchildren
June knows her child and I think that Donna may be a bit jealous because she has a successful marriage

Donna was arranging her own wedding and not her sons. Donna got it wrong June didn't go behind her back and change the dress, she gave her daughter a choice. Donna showed not the fun side of herself but how bitchy she really is. June you are a rock star, maybe ask your daughter to have a blessing in Church.

In the first episode, Anna is so rude at the cake tasting. She's insulting the baker. She was just trying to be difficult.

I liked the brides mothers way she wanted it and how she knew what her daughter would like in a dress and how she got one that she’d actually felt beautiful in and a bride Donna was it’s her way or nothing and I didn’t like the bridesmaid dresses black could of been a different colour

I don’t understand how the mother of the first bride didn’t know her daughter well enough that she was so far off with her concept and colours. I’m glad the mum had enough insight to buy her daughter the other dress.The grooms mum was also not on the money.
Perhaps if both mums had taken their own egos out of their concepts and considered and previously listened to the couple they would have been able to come up with something that was more appropriate and inline with their ideas. Surely the couple had spoken to both parents about their ideas prior to this?

I love salsa dancing, but EVERYTHING else about mom Anna’s vision was sooooo cheesy and gaudy…I’m so happy the bride Anna chose to wear Catherine’s dress… if she would have worn her mothers choice, they just should have just chosen the other mom Anna’s vision.
Bride and Mum only concerned how things "will look" in photos it seems! All looks horribly cheap and tacky to me !

Most of these weddings prove a compromise would always work. Most of the weddings could be combined. The more formal mother for the ceremony (especially the one who wanted church) and funner party theme for reception. Glad first bride's mom bought a second dress

Almost every one of the mothers that are in charge are choosing dresses that they want even when they know it’s not what the bride want’s. That’s crazy.
Donna really needs to gain some self awareness as all her accusations levelled at June should have been directed towards herself. June truly saved the day because Donna blatantly ignored what the bride AND June said about the dress. There could have been so much more compromise to make the day even better. I am glad they all enjoyed the day though. The chest bump at the end made the show for me. 😂

These mothers need to STOP TRYING TO RELIVE their weddings through their daughters. This is not these ladies weddings this is the daughters day not their day. I WOULD NEVER DO ANY OF THIS TO MY EITHER OF MY DAUGHTERS. I just want my daughters to have what they would like. Both of them are very different and would let them have whatever made them happy. I already gave my oldest the wedding she wanted and it wad gorgeous
It's obnoxious that one is supposed to be the winner and choose it all, but halfway through, they end up having to compromise.
The dress Kim picked is not very classy or sophisticated. THe beading is cheap = like the premade stuff you can add. It doesn't have the haute couture look or hand beaded look. To be honest this dress has that trashy look. A volumptuous bride whose dress doesn't fit great and the focus on the bust that over runneth. To bad class cannot be bought.

Zero respect for the bride and her mother. I'm not remotely religious, but in deference to something that is so clearly of import, I'd have incorporated elements, if not their entire church dream. I am appalled by the mother ignoring the bride's discomfort in the dress. You can't convince someone to get over a gang up and they sure as he'll shouldn't be asked to do that on their wedding day. Uch.
3rd couple, Anne & Laurette - mom's... Couple - Desiree & Matt... So the couple can live with Anne to save money for a home but they give the wedding decisions the the control freak Laurette?
