Ooh, I have to tell you what a McGuffin is.
The Ark Of The Covenant. The Death Star Plans. It's the object that drives the plot. The Goodies want it. The Baddies don't want the Goodies to have it. Often it's true nature is irrelevant.
Here's the origin: Two men meet on a train travelling through Scotland. One carries a large chest.
    "What's that?"
    "It's a McGuffin."
    "What's a McGuffin?"
"It's a device used for hunting Bison in the Scottish highlands."
The other man pauses for a moment.
"But there are no Bison in Scotland."
    "Then I guess this isn't a McGuffin."

Another great episode…haven’t watched Andor yet so I skipped around. Did you guys talk about rings of power? Sorry I may have missed it trying to avoid andor spoilers. Also, one crazy summer was one of my favorite movies in the late 80s early 90s…..now I need to watch it again ✌🏼

I missed "24". I had no TV at the time, and it was the first show I really felt like I was missing out on.
I like Sutherland, and the concept was intriguing. But since then, I heard that he spends a lot of time torturing people in that show, so maybe it wasn't really my sort of thing anyway.

It says at the start of Andor that it's 5BBY (Five years before the battle of Yavin.)

Halfway through Andor ep1, I thought "this is a tight script". Then when the credits rolled I saw that Tony Gilroy was the writer/producer. What a coup to get him onboard!
I consider The Mandalorian to be a "Star Wars show": Include some Jedi, some Bounty Hunters, plenty of fan service, everything people want and expect. But Andor is just a top class drama that happens to take place in the Star Wars universe. You can see the skillfull building of character arcs. It's not just a series of set pieces. There needn't be a boss fight at the end of each episode. Who even gave a shit about Mon Mothma before you got a look at her home life and realised her struggle? Even the baddies are sympathetic. The disgraced policeman, the ambitious Imperial officer... you don't really like them, but you still root for them, because they are *real* characters.
I'm excited for Disney Star Wars if they can keep up this standard.

There is one thing worse than breaking an extensive toy. Breaking someone ELSE'S expensive toy. If Brian broke Mon-Starr, he would have felt so much worse even though I'm sure Randy would have let it slide

They are trying to use the NFT idea with toys like how you buy Digital audio, Digital movie, Digital Video Game on Steam, Digital Book, ... now everyone trying with toys that's all. It is stupid, I agreed. Say do you consider putting a mirror on whatever, you run out and check on the recording. LOL

I really enjoyed the new Top Gun. Much better then I thought. I also feel the same way about Tom Cruise. I want to dislike him, but I always enjoy his movies, and people always seem to enjoy working with him.
    Definitely Lost Boys over Goonies.
    Love the original Point Break.
Also a fan of Dead Poet's Society.
I also have never seen Rudy, but I also am not really a fan of sports movies, even with my love of Shaun Astin.
I also do not understand NFTs.
    Always love the show guys.

What’s up guys?! Glad to see a new episode. You guys made me want to recheck a few 80s movies. I have never seen Dead Poets Society, but always wanted to. Lots of cool Hasbro Pulse stuff, the Indy stuff I am really excited about. Also, I do believe there is some time travel in the new film, it has strong been hinted at. I am looking forward to it.

Randy, I know just what you're saying regarding horror movies. Monsters, ghosts and demons are fine, but serial killer stuff is too real. We've all encountered bullies and psychopaths in our lives, and we know that humans are the worst monsters of all. I enjoy all types of horror films, except for torture porn.
Wolf Creek (1&2) were too much for me, because I've read about the backpacker murders, and there's no joy to be had from experiencing those events. Same with Dahmer. Fascinating to read about, but seeing it happen isn't fun.
