Brother in some dream of EUREKA RENTON has a happy life with his parents CHARLES and REY although in the last movie they did have some time together until EUREKA killed RENTON the beginnings of Hi-Evolution 1 and 2.😢❤
Yeah, this is my first run through of the show and it really got me how thay had to go like that. Like Renton said Everyone is Selfish and the only people who took time to talk to him died.
it does make sense, hiroshi watanabe's song was used in the anime eureka 7, in the origional it doesnt have humming, however in the anime there was a humming noise added similar to this one, it was a humming noise similar to what a mother would do with her child. this is because of rei's relation with renton (protagonist). (spoiler here) rei was never able to bear a child so she was treating renton as her own. the motherly humming was symbolic of that relationship. also the song is important too
Both this song and the anime itself will forever remain alongside my thoughts and feelings throughout my life; as this show brought me so many things such as anime, the importance of character, and resilience. After completing the show I distinctly remember longing for the feeling that this show brought me, I was sad that nothing could live up to it. I stumbled across the idea of looking at the soundtrack. And boy, I did not expect this song to have such an impact. I won't lie. This song appealed to me when I was in a time of depression, and somehow, with help from the sad repetitive humming. I was calm. So thank you Cazzleo, for unknowingly help me through high school and for uploading this masterpiece.
a lost woman, humming as her life is in ruins around her, having lost everything, yet retained her freedom. So sad~ if only she and charles could have left the past in the past... or just adopted.
...upon watching Hi-evolution, I can just hope~ Maybe, actually being a mom for a whole bunch of years, having a reason to go back home...being less resentful of eureka perhaps... Will they make the Other Choice this time~? Or will it just keep being a fixed point in time~?
It feels creepy with the humming. Naturally, I should hear a mother humming to her child, but... Instead, I hear a woman on the brink of collapse, someone who has just lost her purpose, and is trying very much in vain to hold herself together. In fact, it almost feels like she's in denial, humming to something that is now gone as if she had never lost it in the first place.
Yeah watch Joy Division, at some point in the series there's clearly a reference to them... and its exactly that kind of sadness with lyrics like ''Love will tear us apart again'' but at the same the music is really happy...well its new wave, and they're the band who invented it.
The part where she says her last lines at Renton and Eureka, scared the hell out of me. At this point, neither I or Renton knew what Eureka is, but at the same time that didn't stop making the moment scary. Ray seemed like she was fighting a monster out to possess and consume her son, yet her tone as anyone can tell seems like she's completely flipped her lid. *Ray Beams:* It's far too late, for everything! *Renton:* Please Miss Ray. *Ray Beams:* Renton? Eureka, the one you're there to protect, took every happy future away from your mama. Now it's my turn to take everything away, FROM YOUR FUTURE EUREKA!! Renton, you've been possessed by a horrible and dangerous monster, but it's alright!! Mama will save you and we'll all go together where Charles is waiting for us!!!
At her death scene, it was like there was a sense of symbolism. It's almost as if the anime was telling us Charles died and gone to heaven. When Ray tried to reach her ring right before her death and failed to reach it before dying, because she didn't reach the ring; the symbol of Charles, she didn't go to heaven to join him.
I can hear dead people or rather person humming to me this song plays in my head over and over i think i am going mad, and im loving every moment of it :)
I hum like that to songs like that because i cannot control my humming to make every bit of sound in between from the sound of it and how well it fits with the song, she was remembering the happiest moments of her life with Charles, this song being one of them so they took the easy part and hummed it. Either way would work though.
I think he meant that it's so good it's creepy, not that it's creepy but also good. The "sense" part relating to the useage of those two words in combination rather than anything to do with the song itself. :)
Wish they made alternate part where renton decided to stay with charles and ray and kissed gecko and eureka goodbye and had charles and ray quit mercenary work and live peacefully (show would have ended but who cares)
I think it needed to end, for the sake of Renton's development as a person. Eureka and Renton were destined for each other and if they didn't get back together (in one of the best scenes of the anime) then the world would've ended. Renton's relationship with Ray and Charles was great, but I think his romance with Eureka was better. Still, would've been interesting to see how it would have turned out (staying with R&C).
@@lionidor1132 Ikr, we need a spinoff where renton stays with R&C and get back eureka somehow and they stay as family happily just like subaru and rem's side story from re zero
@@dragonarch0 Wouldn't work. Sorry, I like Ray and Charles, at least until the former snapped, but as far as they are concerned Eureka was the reason they couldn't have children. So even if Renton stayed and decided to bring her home to them no different than a teen introducing his girlfriend to his parents, Ray would be the first to pull a gun or knife on her.
@@dragonarch0 no it's not. You're missing the point of fiction. That no matter what happens, characterization will always remain the same. Ray will always hate Eureka. That will never change. No matter what scenario you throw she will always try to kill Eureka.
Watch it dude. But if you do make sure it's the last anime on your watch list. This anime made me quit anime for a year twice (rewatched it again), made all other animes feel less then what you just watched. Like nothing can compare to it feeling.
It's good but you didn't isolate the high pitch noises and you have a double echo that sounds good in the original but in the loop you just kept copy pasting it and made a nasty echo that doesn't go with the beat.(high pitch meaning the piano) The notes don't sound good because they don't make sense in the loop.
エウレカで1番トラウマなエピソードにこの曲。この曲聴くと、戦うしかなかった3人の運命に涙してしまう。たまに想い出して無性に聴きたくなっちゃう涙
I agree.
Ray, Charles... Holland and Diane... They were all victims.
Their stories are tragic.
Charles and Ray have the saddest death ever in my opinion, they just want Renton to be their son. They even made him a cup of his own. so sad...
"Brother?"
"It's a terrible day for rain"

The pieces of what couldn't be, put back together as they should, in the way they could never end up.
A lover humming for her lost love. Scene still moves me.
This show is by far my favorite anime, it just gets you connected with the characters and you feel what they feel. Anyone agree?
Her "hmmmmm" is just soothing to my eras. The humming makes it more authentic.
Yeah, this is my first run through of the show and it really got me how thay had to go like that. Like Renton said Everyone is Selfish and the only people who took time to talk to him died.
one of the best animes iv ever seen

Ending is just so sad; beat ends slowly and humming left alone just like Ray herself :(

The humming made the song. Without it the song felt incomplete. Thanks for reuniting a finished work..

@@RoseThorne I think the most tragic part is that they found that in Renton only for him to turn out to be Adrock Thurston's son

@Senndakota Yes, I couldn't agree with you more. E7 is, IMO, easily one of the best anime ever made. The soundtrack is a perfect example.

In the middle of the series it she kind of goes crazy after what happens to Charles.
her humming sounds sad because Ray lost Charles...>
Kind of the whole point...

Close seconds.
