Try the anime IGPX, it gave me eureka 7 vibes, but it's an entirely different type of anime. It had that similar feeling of open air and freedom, but it's a mecha race competition anime

@@cosmic_gate476 they haven’t aged well graphics wise but the gameplay and story is top tier closest thing you’ll get to a true eureka seven game. There’s aerial and ground combat and the aerial UI is gorgeous

I watch E7 once a year. The action, drama, and romance all mixed in with an amazing soundtrack. A masterpiece in my eyes.

Eureka Seven is still the best sci fi hero's journey anime, just watched it again not long ago.
There is also Xam'd: Lost Memories, with a slightly more adult background. Also recommended
