Movies Anywhere is great, and a rare example of competing studios actually coming together to provide a service that is beneficial for the consumer. Buying physical that comes with both the MA code and a disc that you can rip for local storage is the perfect combination.
That’s not what the “movies anywhere” means. You literally just watched in entire video explained in depth of what it is and means. It doesn’t mean it’s available anywhere. It means the movies you buy on this platform will be available on any other platforms as long as you link it.
That being said. I think TH-cam is probably the best place to buy movies and tv shows because they have almost everything on it and it’s connected to your Apple TV and ID.

The only thing that Movies Anywhere can be better if all the Studios can be on there all at once, because as far as I know, Lionsgate, MGM, and even Paramount are not on there as of yet, but I guess they could someday, if that can happen, I don't have to buy the same movies on every retailer, Apple TV is probably my primary collection app

It is only available digital for as long as movie anywhere, vudu, amazon etc continue with the contract for the movies. In other words should the company decide to clean up their available movies and choose to delete this one even though you paid for it then it is gone.

VHS to 4k to digital for some of my favorite movies from over the years. Aliens, The Matrix and Akita to name a few. I got Movies anywhere a few years ago when I was traveling on a weekly basis and it was great to have movies at the ready in airports or on flights when I wanted.

MovieAnywhere is currently NOT PLAYING 4K Videos on Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. They have a bug saying the Fire stick doesn’t meet DRM requirements and they HAVE NOT FIXED IT. This did not happened with previous Fire TV 4K sticks. I submitted a report and they haven’t done nothing.

I am looking to download my digital movies to my laptop or a thumb drive when I go camping. The internet in the area is very iffy due to all the mountains. I know I can download to my phone, kindle or tablets. I want it on my laptop so we can use my projector to play it on my outdoor screen while camping. If anyone has an answer to this let me know.
I bought a movie and the Mobil app is just fine but when I play a movie on tv the audio icon is missing I cant change the language on the tv screen but on the mobil app I can.
I redeemed a digital movie with MA before the code expires, still have the combo pack of a 4k and blu-ray version in my possession anyways. Just could not allow this third digital option of the code for a movie to go inert after awhile for nothing. I have dozens of used movies with expired codes, someone else bought them new and most likely never redeemed them. If this movie site gets bought out then I guess that is out of my hands as the corporate big wigs have their devious plans.

When I try to reconnect my iTunes movies to Movies Anywhere it just takes me to iTunes with no instructions. Once I exit ITunes it still says I’m not connected to Movies Anywhere
I had the same issue I think. Idk about you, but for me, it was just that I wasn't using an apple device. I just borrowed a family member's iPhone, and voila, it worked. So I'd say try that if you haven't already. Just need to make sure the apple ID email is the same as your movies anywhere email.
I still believe in DVD and Blu.......So just keep your rarer DVD's and Blu's and get rid of the rest that are common and showing up several streaming sites now. I am focusing on collection older TV shows as eventually they will be pulled from commercial streaming soon as both are building their own catalog of content free of royalties.

I love this app! I have a collection of almost 200 digital movies 😎👌 being able to use app on any phone or tablet is amazing. I don't need Netflix. I have my own 😎👌
This is far from the magical solution. I own about 700 movies in digital form, with approx. 670 of those in Apple. Random Amazon, Microsoft, others fill out the rest. How many are available in Movies Anywhere - like 320. The intent and spirit is in the right place. It’s impossible to get all the studios singing along. Remember Apple single sign-in about 9 years ago?

Their app acts up time to time can use to watch your library of movies it drives me insane. Need to fix their app .you can easily buy movies. But can't use them .make it make sense? Work when it feels like it ? I have a ton of movies and barely some only work on their app .so frustrating.
You should be able to. Remember you can also download ALL the content you want to take with you. So even if you do that at the minimum, you'll be good to go

Also have been using it for years, works great. Nice having the app on my phone, iPad, and Apple TV. Have also used the download feature for travel.

You can definitely organize your movies and make your own playlist on TH-cam/google play.

Movies Anywhere is available as an app on almost all TVs. You don't need an Apple TV for it. I showed it being used directly from a TV.
