Your hydrangeas are beautiful , are they in the sun or.shade? I have summer crush and they did not.do good

Most of the plants are in direct sun. There's really no shade at the front steps, a bit more shades on the sides of the house. We did find that they turned dark - especially the ones in direct sun - a little earlier than usual this year. We had a very hot July/August with very little rain. Next year I will need to keep up with the watering a bit better!
