There's a sort of flow or energy to Friedas Thoth art that make it readable for me and this adaptation feels clearer and less fussy. I wanted this deck but couldn't afford it, I am glad it's in the world as a more accessible Thoth option.
I’m totes jellystone park. I wanted this deck so bad, but unfortunately just not in the budg rn. It’s really beautiful and I do think it’s more so than the og. I do like the Thoth and def lady freida’s artwork. Crowley was a garbage human, but had some interesting ideas. I was curious if you’d pick this one up since it does have a heavy margarete Peterson vibe (which I also love). Loved seeing your insights on this one. Thanks for sharing!😊
Yum. Like you, I am very pleased I backed this deck, and yes skin diversity was the biggest draw even though I have never cared for Crowley. I have opinions. Unlike your learned self, I have always thought Lady Harris's artwork, depicted in thoth deck as cold and disconnected, however Marea's Tarot feels so much warmer to me. The deck also gives a little 'reader' space to the thoth/golden dawn experience. Always appreciated. Also keywords on cards are like Marmite, I'm in camp distain. Only because my brain hooks on to the keyword, like an 8bit glitch. So frustrating. Anyway, Ive done my bit for the algorithm and to show my gratitude for your time spent. Enjoy your new deck 🎉
