Is the Balsamiq file Billy is building available? Being able to download and interact with it would help me learn how it Balsamiq works.

Hi, Thank you so much for tutorial. I am learning a lot. However, I am facing issue with grouping. Particularly with small rectangle containing text I am not able to group them. Any suggestions. I do select the rectangle and text but it is so small and when I click on Cntrl+G and then try to duplicate it only the rectangle gets pasted or text.

7:33 why did u go down instead of across. Page1 leads across to page2, but page leads DOWN to page 3. Why?
Is this necessary when laying out a sit in Balsamiq?

In our low-fidelity wireframing tool, we prioritize early-stage ideation focusing on content and structure rather than polished design. Billy has laid out the pages vertically to represent the raw Information Architecture of the app, where going down indicates moving to a deeper level in the hierarchy (that he designed with the sticky notes). Although the comment mentions a lateral movement from Page 1 to Page 2 and then downward to Page 3, in reality, Page 2 leads down to a sub-level, not directly to Page 3. Page 3 would represent the cart. This approach allows us to define the architecture of the project effectively while maintaining flexibility in layout and navigation. So there's no hard and fast rule about this - you can do whatever makes sense to you (and your project).

2:32 how did you create the user flow? Can Balsamiq be used to create this drawing??
This is an absolute beginner course, so you should explain what you used to create each screen in the tutorial. Also, clearly there are semantics to the symbols but you dont explain what they are.

Yes, Billy used Balsamiq to create the user flow :) You can create yours using our template (called "User Flow") as a starting point. A quick way to find it is to search for it in the "Quick Add" field.
We understand that some concepts or features (like Symbols) might require more details as you get familiar with them. Would you mind reaching out via support@balsamiq.com with your questions? We'll do everything we can to help!

Your voice comes out very bad while using the app.

Thank you for your feedback on the audio. We will have more introductory videos coming in the future, that feature different narrators.
