Batman: Arkham Knight is a 2015 action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the successor to the 2013 video game Batman: Arkham Origins, and the fourth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series. Written by Sefton Hill, Ian Ball and Martin Lancaster, Arkham Knight is inspired by the long-running comic book mythos. Set nine months after the events of 2011's Batman: Arkham City, the game's main storyline follows Batman as he confronts Scarecrow, who has launched an attack on Gotham City, causing a citywide evacuation. Scarecrow, with the help of the mysterious Arkham Knight, plots to unite Batman's greatest foes in an attempt to finally destroy Batman.
The game is presented from a third-person perspective, with a primary focus on Batman's melee combat, stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets. Batman can freely move around the open world of Gotham City, interacting with characters and undertaking missions, and unlocking new areas by progressing through the main story or obtaining new equipment. The player is able to complete side missions away from the main story to unlock additional content and collectible items. Combat focuses on chaining attacks together against numerous foes while avoiding damage, while stealth allows Batman to conceal himself around an area, using gadgets and the environment to silently eliminate enemies. Arkham Knight introduces the Batmobile as a playable vehicle, which is used for transportation, puzzle solving and combat.
Development on Arkham Knight began in 2011 after completion of Arkham City and took place over four years. Rocksteady opted to use its own writers for the main story with collaboration by comic book writer Geoff Johns, choosing to replace Paul Dini who had worked on Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The introduction of the Batmobile required a change in the team's design methodology, as the previous games' city designs were too narrow and confined to allow smooth travel for the vehicle.

They need to make a DLC for Poison Ivy too or make her playable in Gotham Knights. So much wasted potential

Seeing what we could've gotten for Harley Quinn gameplay in a game where harley quinn is one of the main characters then seeing it get turned into a mindless looter shooter is tragic.

In this game, Harley Quinn is portrayed as invincible. No matter what opponents stand in front of her and no matter how they are armed, no one can defeat her.
1. why is she always defeated by Batman?
2. why doesn't she kill? She is a criminal, a ruthless psychopath, Joker's girlfriend.
She does kill but since she won’t do it because joker will force her to do it so without his influence that’s pretty much nothing for her to do

@@ZeotyXBL Just saying the truth. The video is displayed 4K but In game from anyone point of view it’s still 1080p like PS4 but added HDR (I think without video) and I suppose a upscale to 4K. Xbox one X and Series X/S is still 900p and Series X/S can use Auto HDR on it. I know what I’m talking about as I played on a Series S (Not mine) to test.

Good ol' days when girls in games were attractive and fun to play. Their portrayal was gorgeous, cheesy and yet still kickass. Genuine respect for the teams. Now every girl in games wants to be a man. At least that's how the developers make them. That's the reason I stopped watching trailers and playing newer games. I'm grateful for all the best games I got to enjoy all these years. Now, I'll only look for capcom games and none other.
This! I'm a girl and I also enjoyed how female characters were made in the past (even though they were mostly unplayable npcs because you always play the Main guy, but sometimes). Don't get me wrong I like that there's more representation today for some variety, but I also don't like that almost every game has a girl that's so masculine. Like maybe mix it up. Not every girl has to have a buzzcut to be a main character.
I love it that more and more games have females as playable characters nowadays, but hate how they're almost all masculine. :(
@@janmil5630 Well said! Also, Irony is that, the more they're forcing this kinda politics over traditional entertainment media like movies and video games the more people are hating on it. Not to mention the overall decline in quality of the content as well. For general comparison, they could've taken inspiration from Tomb raider games, Batman and Resident evil, Hellblade, Alien series, NieR automata and there's a lot of exceptional representation of girls and women in entertainment. One that you can absolutely adore and look forward too. But no! They just ignored all of them. Few companies like capcom acknowledged and that's why they're successful.
