Master and Speckmann projects deserves more attention. It's a shame some people are discussing about the "good" or "bad" is the new Metallica song, and ignoring this song and the masterpiece "An Epiphany of Hate".
I've always admire the composition style of Master, its a pure homage to Old School Death Metal with those simplistic tremolo riffs. Never been tired of it even if its repetitive.
I was happy to see the guys perform last year. Amazing band. Paul was a nice dude. He was giving a bunch of band stickers lol. Wished I could have hanged out with them a bit more.
I always preferred Master over Death, great lyrics as well as music. Paul always wrote about real topics rather the usual satanism and horror content of most Death Metal.
That's right. Death was NEVER into satanic theme, Chuck's lyrics were about gore and horror. Only "satanic" reference is the logo's T letter in Death's first 3 albums which looks like inverted cross. Chuck redesigned the logo for their later albums.
