What a win for a box. I love you're channel and openings. I recently just had a house fire and lost all of my magic cards my entire collection. I've played the game for 20 years I'm so devastated. I'm trying to put stuff back together to make some decks and continue playing at my local LGS but it's been tough.
Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that, I know what it's like to lose an amazing collection, I sold mine though so that was my mistake, a house fire just destroying it all would be devastating. That is a risk with cardboard, I hope you stay positive and rebuild!
Idk if anyone has anything they could maybe help with starting me a commander deck again with or any bulk or a cheap deck I could start back out with. Like elves or tokens or something. We have a couple months before we see a dime of money for the fire insurance. Magic is my escape and brings me peace. I know it's a long shot but anything would help alot.
I saw a guy open a collector booster box on youtube who got two mythics in the whole box lol. Watching this helped with the decision to just get set boxs
This set makes my head hurt. There are too many different kinds of cards with all the showcase frames. There's no consistency and it really just makes me want to tune out. I know that there are people out there that like this stuff, but I really just want to go back to pre-2019 Magic sets where there was one product to buy and no variants to pull.
at least with strixhaven there was just one alternative art for cards which was cool, but anything more than one has just made it a complete mess, that and the removal of core sets now :/
This packs/box smoothed out the wrinkles in my brain 🧠; it feels like a hodge-podge of everything that I currently am not a fan of……especially those companions
I played magic gathering when alphas where top and it Justs feels like magic gathering is not as good as it was before . i could be wrong but the quality back then of the cards was the best . is there a chance they can make the card quality better? or is it as is?
They use the same manufacturer and cardstock as they did for Alpha. The quality was terrible back then also, the cards just looked better and felt more special because there wasn't a million flashy variants of every card.
Personally, battles are really poorly designed. From having to attack a permanent YOU control to them being able to be hit by noncombat damage... Protecting a battle will be next to impossible. Also, not many of them are even worth the mana and damage commitment they take to get the backside of them.
What really gets me upset is them putting the blank tokens in set boosters. the boosters that are not meant for draft. It’s the dumbest thing ever. Just put in the regular tokens and list cards and also take out those stupid marketing cards. No one reads them. They just end up in the trash immediately. Waste of paper and ink. Make TH-cam videos to market your goods. People who buy the products obviously don’t need to see the marketing things in the product they had just bought. We know what you sell Wizards. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
I tried to go a little slower on the first one becase if I don't flip every card I'll get people commenting that I should have flipped every one and since it was the first opening I tried to flip them but the rest of the boxes I went faster, there's way too many flip cards to flip them all.
Gotta say overall it seems like you have a negative attitude. When you speak in general terms like “bad print quality” and “one good box, the rest are garbage” it makes it difficult to take the content on a first box opening seriously. Like why is it bad they put special art treatment in set packs? Is it such a horrible thing to include some extra value/premium art in a non $350 box of magic?
@@oldschoolmtg I wasn’t trying to be an asshole. I’m sorry if I came off that way at all. I’ve been collecting and playing since 1995. I totally understand where you are coming from on the disappointment at WotC over the current state of affairs in mtg.
Yes, they printed ALL the companions with the Ikoria alter art.

God bless you man. I hope all goes well forward with the new collecting.

@@robkinnaman6285 my collection very new and small. I wish I could help. Best of luck. Truly hope it all goes well.
Sorry to hear that. I wish you good luck and I hope you and your family are okay.
Don't be so hard on yourself. We're watching. Just do you man.

Set boxes? U mean set boosters?
This is where the Rares and mythics in the other boxes went 😩
I got a bundle box and the set packs had an abnormal amount of list cards. I posted a video about it, but I think there was an error
I might get one of these ones some awesome cards I uses on arena he pulled
What I'm thinking is it's all the fancy foiling artwork all the way from kallidus in the 30th anniversary March of the machines collector box
The prerelease is gonna be absolutely hectic with the new card type lol
Pretty insane box! Congrats on your pulls.
Multiverse Legends are denoted with the MUL set mark
Missed your first actual mythic. Invasion of shandalar
I really enjoyed the etched foils.
Wait, how are you already opening boxes
Great box for you Dan hope your doing well

Going to every plane , adding a new card type, every shocase framw ever made, a new type of flip card and a legendary creature sub set was a lot
Agreed, I miss the really old days before mythics, and before variants aside from foils.

Even the Amazon links say this is released on 21April. How is this box being opened?
TH-camrs Got it for promo
@@iamunnami Nope, I'm not affiliated at all, wish I was I wouldn't mind getting paid a little lol.
Invasion of shandalar was also mythic.
Yeah I found it sorting and realized I put it in the wrong pile, there was 13 mythics! lol
Wow that box was loaded Dan
Definitely looking for Orthion and Etali from this set, but I'm still super disappointed about the miscut cards.
Either way, nice video

How did you get an early box?
Wotc ships to stores and wholesalers a week early.
It's not easy, it's taken me years to find the right connections to get them a little early.
Howd you get them early??
Probably retailer prepping for stocking of singles.

So I’m new to MTG. Was this good or bad?
It was incredible!
Why is wotc afraid of making good werewolves?
At the End of the month it will be my turn. Let's see🙂
If I buy March of the Machines, I think I’d rather pull cards from JUST March of the Machines
Agreed, I think reprints should be saved for masters sets and remastered sets.
But on the other hand mom set is like avengers endgame, so it suits that everything and everyone is there

Блин, я завидую
what's the point of flipping every double face card, if you're just gonna immediately discard it? just move it along for the sake of video speed

This dude is weird but I like seeing th cards

wotc does tend to do things that bring out the negative in people, I agree I should be more positive.

WOTC should do away with the flip and split cards.
Aaa
