So sorry for you. I had to do that to a great dog of mine. She was a great big German Shepherd and I held her in my arms as the doctor injected her. I looked in her eyes and told her how much joy she gave me and my kids and that I loved her. She wagged her tail for me and licked me on the face one last time. I will never forget that.
The pain won't go away but it will lessen. Keep them in your heart, it's ok to replay the memories in your mind and look at pictures. It's ok to cry and talk to family/friends. I truly understand what you're going through.
Are the boys staying with dad or grandpa during this vaction because you have grandma? (Not calling them old btw just calling them that cuz its the kids granparents) it is cool if you don't want to say where they are I just wondered! Looks awesome! Enjoy yourself

She looks soooo relaxed... mom is there... Not sure what the dream job was... Broke up with the loser drug addicted husband and mom took her to Hawaii ??? Good time to get away from the boys... No big deal.. she'll be back in Sept 2016 posting how hard it is working 2 jobs and taking care of the boys.... with no child support coming in... Life will be different then... Most single mothers don't take trips to Hawaii.... :) Yeah..... it's just me.... cause I don't get how this is a part of anyones real life. Had fun watching my moms life... :) Had fun watching what she taught my sister by her actions... and seeing who SHE turned out to be... :) I always dated pretty smart girls when I was young... educated... sharp minded... working gals... with goals and careers to keep themselves focused on who they were and where they wanted to go... :) and me... no drugs, no tatts, never smoked, don't drink or waste money at strip clubs on girls who are looking through me to the next 20 in the hands of some married guy... :) Single till I was 37.... no kids... no responsibilities... figured when I turned 27 there was a pattern of behavior in peoples lives... I'd find a pretty girl... we'd spend so much time together she'd move in and life was good trying to put our lives together... but something would always happen after 3 years.. and I'd be single again for a year... Till I would meet another pretty girl... :) Life is clearly different for women... I see you have a couple of boys... and you like to sing... :) Good Channel DS.... Lots with nothing to say or share... You play the gutiar well... I took lessons for 7 years... My hidden talent.. you will never lose it... Good for your boys to see and watch you play / create music. Now my music is more about presenting and technology... The crew of guys in our team are... Music Emcees... And me... I'm the Wiz of All.... I showed these guys how to show the DJ's who think they are making music, that they are really living in the past... I spent 3 years building, engineering and manufacturing our equipment.... putting on dances here in So Cal.... 2016 had very few really good top conetmporary songs out... We thrive on Top Contemporary Music Videos for Saturday night dances... Rambling on here.. sorry... be safe... Lancersdad...
Sorry you went through that. I've never experienced the outcome of drug addiction on the part of the parent. So I guess it's one area I have nothing to relate to. My mom is retired now, but her degree was in child psych. Naturally we had a million warnings growing about about drugs. But as a mom, I can tell you there is nothing scarier. I may be the mom, but my kids spend most of the week influenced by their peers. That's a hard road to navigate. It's not always the parents fault. I've seen great kids meet up with the wrong bunch. Fortunately, mine have steered clear. But it's a constant state of being alert. My second is about to turn 18. Then there's two left to navigate. It doesn't get any easier. The heroin epidemic is massive, even here in the suburbs. If I can get them past that mine field, then I'm good. Almost 2 down, 2 more to go.
