Cala d'Or Mallorca: PARADISE FOUND but is it busy?

- In this May update from Cala d'Or, Mallorca, I discover paradise in the form of the two centrally located beaches but is it busy? Let's find out.
I take a walking tour through Cala d'Or centre to check out the resort centre in May right at the beginning of the Summer season
I start my tour from the centre of Cala d'Or as we make our way through to check out the fantastic selection of places to eat in Cala d'Or. I find a bar too to give you some drinks prices.

Paradise is a perfect word to describe the scenery there in Cala D’or. I have never visited there yet, but that water alone makes me want to visit! So crystal clear and blue! It does look very popular already in May and I can see why.

I'm visiting cala d'or for 10 days next Thursday, 20.7.23,staying just off cala gran beach, this resort is my favourite holiday destination. It's beautiful and so are the very friendly locals..

Thanks for the review, great as always! Love Cala d'Or. First visited in 2000 with my parents and brother at Cala Egos. Honeymooned in 2016 in Cas Concos nearby. Stayed in Alcudia last year with the kids but still made a trip to Cals d'Or. Such a great place. Been to lots of beaches around the world but Cala Mondrago takes some beating.

Brilliant thanks for a great vlog update, Cals D'or looks beautiful❤. I am a bit deflated about our trip there next week though as weather forecast is for rain on at least 3 or more of the days we are there and as we are coming from very rainy Northern Ireland was hoping for less rain and a bit of sun. Hopefully weather forecast changes. Excited to check out Cala d'or though just fingers crossed the weather changes but I'm bringing proper shoes and a raincoat just in case. Thanks for sharing all your updates on Cala d'or it's really helpful and great info xx
Hi both, I'm just looking at the weather forecast, and I'll be very surprised it it rains. My phone is showing a 50% chance of rain which normally means it won't happen. We were supposed to have zero sun and heavy cloud today, but we had 80% sunshine all day!! Don't believe the weather forecast until you are here and you open the shutters. You'll have a great time I'm sure!

Cala D Or is lovely, used a transfer bus from Airport and took around 45 minutes to make the Journey. This was just over a week ago in April 2024. Cala Petita is I think is the best Beach. My only complaint is that compared to elsewhere Cala D Or is a little more expensive than other areas. Restaurants are what you would expect from a tourist destination and lack options for Vegetarians. The TIB, buses are efficient and easy to use. We left Cala D Or for Palma at just after 11 am and arrived at the main bus terminus around 12.45 pm. The weather is unseasonably good and sea temperature cool but not unbearable. If weather does turn head to Santiyanii Cafes etc are generally much better there.
Sunbeds cheaper than Puerto Pollensa 😊 security box too that's brilliant!

I lived in Cala d'Or for 10 years. May was always packed with tourists. It is so sad to see it so empty 😢
It is early on in the season, and i guess everyone was on the beach when I filmed!

cala d'or is such an amazing place, sad to see hardly anyone there in may, best time to go as well, May or September, main summer months are now way too hot

Cala Gran is our favourite, the other beaches are beautiful too.

Isn’t that in Calas de Mallorca up the coast ? You may have a bit of a hike if it’s the one I’m thinking of
