Thank you for your vidoes, it has been good to watch them before visiting to get all the info we needed. Ive just got back from Alcudia staying at the Alua Boccacio. Had a lovely time, we did some lovely walks, a 5k walk all the way around the lake behind the hotel, a walk into the old town and another walk along the sea to the port. We also had great fun on jet skis and a quad bike tour. I would recommend Alcudia to anyone. Hoping to visit again one day 🥰

Another great video Alex. We’re staying in the Bahia de Alcudia in October, up in Puerto Alcudia and we cannot wait! Place looks beautiful, beach looks amazing and the weather is usually perfect late Sept/early Oct. We also have a No Frills excursion to Soller/Port Soller and Valdemossa planned. Just got back from Majorca on Tuesday 28th May , was staying at the Lagomonte in Bellevue. Was on the sunbed just Monday past (27th )near the red slide peddle boats ( kept getting hassled every 5 minutes from beach sellers! , some selling these big thin blankety thingys , and usual ones with sunglasses etc. Was in Majorca from 18th to 28th Flying from Aberdeen , Scotland. Got caught in Thunder and Hail on 1 of the days but had great holiday overall 😎
I've never heard of security safes on sunbed umbrellas before this. I've never noticed it in any other countries I've been to. Is theft a big problem here ? Coming to PP in July for the first time.

Hi Alex. We are considering Playa del Muro for our vacation this year. We've seen a few of your videos but we are wondering if any of the beachfront hotels offer their own sunbeds/beach umbrella or if you always have to reserve them separately from these public ones. If that is the case we don't necessarily have to chose beachfront. Thank you!
In Can Pastilla right now, on Playa de Palma….half the place is empty and loads of shops and bars closed down, incredibly quiet…overpriced, horrible food everywhere, shabby run down town and entire bay is creaking with age!! Locals are mostly hostile and unsmiling…most staff imported from India, Columbia , Dominican Republic and Thailand! Italian restaurants without an Italian in sight…hence the terrible food! Make of this what you will but I would advise to avoid the Bay of Palma completely…oh and beware of attempts by taxi drivers to rip you off! Get a quote BEFORE you get in the car. I love Mallorca but the EXPENSIVE changes made are ridiculous….sunbeds and umbrella 18 euro and they pack up at 6pm! And now with the 1st of June, they’ve raised prices AGAIN…10-12 euros for a rubbish cocktail! Restaurants adding 5-10 euros per dish!! Good luck to everyone coming here…but I think I’m gonna be looking elsewhere.✌️❤️ Forgot to add…if you’re driving…parking is a nightmare, so good luck with that!!!!

The Belle Vue Complex looks pretty open (not fenced off) - are the facilities i.e. waterslides solely for the use of people staying within the complex or can people from elsewhere in Alcudia also visit?

It’s save on the beach in Alcudia. There’s a mix of Brits, Germans, Swedes, Danish ….. I was alone on the beach, I was able to go for a swim, came back and all of my stuff was still there.
I’m thinking of Easter Sunday for 5 nights. I need to book to be honest but not sure where is best on the island. I usually enjoy Benidorm but want a change.

Prices rise because cost of purchase rises for businesses, cost to make things rise because utilities cost more, shortages of things like oil ( olive) which means it cost more to buy for the restaurant...if product has to be imported that costs too because there is import tax and other administrative fees that are invisible to consumers....so if prices have risen it is because of increases in the supply chain.....if places don't inflate prices, they go out of business and are no more.......End of story. Percentage rises are down to businesses individually. If product is sourced locally then prices can and usually remain competitive. I found it more expensive in the UK but I understand why.... I paid £8 for a glass of red wine when I can pay €6 or €7 for a bottle here ( I can get a glass of Red for €2 - €2.50) When known named beer brands are procured and imported it is likely to cost more for that reason...I can pay €6 in one bar for a pint of Guinness and €7 in another.... Menu del dias are usually three courses for the money, it must be remembered. All relative and in terms of costs for business owners , I have literally just touched the tip of the iceberg. I have worked in many bars / bar restaurants so know first hand what the mechanics are... IF you buy , named, products in a Spar do not compare with the UK...it is all imported so prices are as explained. Been living in Mallorca for 19 years and it affects me too but I go off the beaten track to the local bars / restaurants so it is inexpensive. I also do not have kids but I do get it when it comes to " keeping all happy" and the costs of that are associated.... In terms of demographic the percentage of British has diminished and is spread between American, French, German Scandinavian ( as illustrated by Alex) Polish......so make no mistake and being completely transparent, there are " people that will pay" that said in Scandinavia, France, Germany they have higher disposable income because even though their cost of living is high , their salaries are too....( Can't speak for America). Good stuff Alex 👍

It is part of the stable Mediterranean diet , so you can imagine the knock on effects to restaurants...👍 ...one of the main reasons.... climate change...drought and heatwaves 🤦...add that to the high price of utilities and then figure out how much it then costs restaurants to make a meals.....
Why would they demolish all the beach bars at the same time..makes no sense. Just do 1 at a time to keep service open during the summer if the works were never going to be done ontime

Lots of cyclists in Alcudia and there’s a path between Alcudia and Pollensa . More cars on the road tho so be careful !
