You know, I hear exactly the same comments about life here in the UK too. I support freedom of travel (especially for holidays and business) but very much regret that the economies of some nations are so weak that their people feel a need to leave their homelands to travel to wealthier nations to find employment and a better standard of living.
@Klingl3r That was filmed late in the evening, maybe something like 10pm / 22:00 ... the train was probably going home to bed ;-) (depot) and maybe the few passengers were people who worked on Sentosa and were going to the depot for a special 'staff bus' home.
ahhh!! back when the trains arent crowded! even the stations arent as crowded! is it only me or does it seem that the pace in life is just slower back then? maybe its because the population back then was not even half of what it is today!!! dammit i really miss those days! the only thing i could do without was the non-air conditioned buses. but really, the overcrowding here now is the main difference. awesome, scenes. i'm a 90s lover...
man... the monorail was my favorite part of sentosa... we'd go round and round the island on it. i especially loved the part where there were a couple of dinosaur statues :)
i think it is still as clean. maybe the reason why we cant see much of the clean roads / sidewalks these days are because they're just too damn crowded with people!
I m 70 x public bus driver..This vdo brings me fond memories as I had drove in whole over the place in this vdo. I recallet what I was doing in that places. Thank you sir. FOND MEMORIES
What a waste I was born in 2003.Wish I was born 2 decades earlier,so that I can fully witness the growth of the MRT system.I would also be able to ride the original Monorail of Sentosa, not the crappy substitute of today.
@Klingl3r It was a former monorail that used to travel around the Sentosa Island in a loop. It was demolished and replaced by a new Hitachi straddle-type small monorail (Sentosa Express) in 2005.
Please remember that I went out of my way to film at quieter times when the trains and everything else were less crowded. This was because I wanted to film the transports - not the people! Even in 1991 everything became very crowded, at times.
+Fuckin A I dont mind but if you are selling the video or in any other way asking people to pay you to watch your music video then we need to agree a copyright fee.
@Klingl3r yes its good that there is real punishment but jail costs everyone (paid in taxes) and criminals in jail learn from other criminals - so that when they come out of jail they are even better criminals.
Back to the days when the places weren't overcrowded.
missed those days... when our nation is so less crowded and peaceful... and we can't go back anymore... sad

SUCH 90s CLOTHINGS! LOVE IT!
haha, i like it when people are not using mobile phones while walking and taking train at that time
It's such a frustration to see 90% of the commuters have their eyes intensely fixated to their screens.
Same but I sometime look at my phone on mrt for specific reason
@@reapanomin899 i use ma phone for all special putpsor
The orchard station looked rather classy, I miss the design. Also miss the sentosa monorail too :(
I also miss the sentosa monorail
Thanks for sharing! The old Sentosa is so nostalgic, I remember it fondly as a kid.
I miss the old monorail
I never even had the opportunity to ride it.

Stone Gold Productions well at least its bad cause they dont inform you of anything like no express queue for any rides
Nice! Thank you!
Thank you for commenting, I'm pleased you liked it!

@UndergroundBerlin Thanks. In 1991 they used plastic tickets. I think they were magnetic.
Last time I remember taking the sentosa monorail around 2003 when i was Kindergarden 1 with my family
MRT doors close so fast alittle passengers can board and depart the MRT.
What a waste I was born in 2003.Wish I was born 2 decades earlier,so that I can fully witness the growth of the MRT system.I would also be able to ride the original Monorail of Sentosa, not the crappy substitute of today.
You're Gold dude! awesome footage!
Great Video! Thanks for sharing..

Back then ERP was called restricted zone.... I'm born in the 2000s btw and it's nice to see old Singapore
i remember taking the old monorail when i was a baby.
now the old monorail kena defunct to make way for construction of Sentosa Express LRT.
Is that a unrefurbished C151?
yes
Man missed the good old days
i wasnt even born at this time.....singapore is so different compared to this...but its still nice ...not so crowded compared to now....:')
those were the days :')
The original c151 will be gone soon was the R151 enters service in 2021.
@citytransportinfo Do you know these trains were refurbished. Those trains are named as the C151.
kapan indonesia bisa kayak gini😖
When life was simple and non crowded
Please remember that I went out of my way to film at quieter times when the trains and everything else were less crowded. This was because I wanted to film the transports - not the people! Even in 1991 everything became very crowded, at times.
Can I use your footages in a video I'm working on?
It's for personal purposes, non-commercial, and I will credit you.
Hello, how much footage?
+citytransportinfo The clips of the Sentosa monorail from this video.
please email or PM me, so that we can discuss terms, how to get raw video footage to you, etc.
Hello people in the past :3
I don’t know why they demolished the Sentosa monorails. So nice
Too old. As nice as the train was, when the monorail needed maintenance, new parts were getting harder and harder to find
@s705945d
There are more 'old traffic lights' in my Singapore Street Scenes film.
:-)
Those houses at the back of redhill station are all replaced by condos
@nrcharlie yea agree! No red ferrari
I miss these unrefurbed C151's.
can i use your footages in a music video?
+Fuckin A
I dont mind but if you are selling the video or in any other way asking people to pay you to watch your music video then we need to agree a copyright fee.
+citytransportinfo i'm purely using them for song accompaniment..non-profit related. i will credit you. thanks
wah old sia!
OMG... redhill mrt..!!
3:43 The monorail station and monorail never exist
at this time was about 2 years old
Did you give personnel info?
why is the monorail so small?
maybe that was enough for the number of people who used it.
Something is not right with the monorail...... i think its designed to only contain 3 passengers only at once
Seats up to 6 passengers per cabin. One seat faces the front, another seat faces the rear.
@Klingl3r yes its good that there is real punishment but jail costs everyone (paid in taxes) and criminals in jail learn from other criminals - so that when they come out of jail they are even better criminals.
6:43
6.43,why was he pulling all the shades down
0:59
those were the empty cars
at this time was about 2 years old
+Mohammed Reswan I suppose that means you do not remember this train? (I do not remember anything from when I was two).
