I think Nick is terribly under-appreciated. His percussion really does complement Casey so beautifully and it's their collaboration that forms the back-bone of the band.
Every time I know someone who has passed in my life I think of this song. No one escapes death. It IS a living partner. Make everyday count in a positive way. Lifes too short to live in anger and hate. Let it go.
You don't get to hear good singers in this genre often enough. Most bands these days are led by posers who get a pass on being mediocre because they dress like prohibition-era townspeople. Really bothers me haha
Actually I broke my nose several times as a child, and never could afford the surgery to fix it- so I maintain a pretty drastically deviated septum... AND I'M NOT AT ALL SELF CONSCIOUS ABOUT IT....
It's not what's wrong with people, it's that people just have different tastes. Granted a large part of pop culture's taste is cultivated by society, it's still alright for them to like Iggy just like it's alright for others to like The Dear Hunter or Coheed or Necrophagist. It's up to the person really.
You can like both. You can like The Stooges and Lil Wayne. You can like Neutral Milk Hotel and Kid Rock. Music is a bounty of sound and everyone has a different pallet. The sugary pop of Echosmith can be delicious, and the meaty Dear Hunter can be nourishing.
3 years later people have completely forgotten about Iggy, as TDH continue on their successful, if not mindblowing career. Having a small, yet dedicated fanbase that truly gets them makes them the real winners here.

This is one of the few songs that I love the live version more than the version on the record.
I can't get over how beautiful this song is. I wish it was longer, so I wouldn't need to click repeat as often.
such a beautiful arrangement of this song :))))
This plays in my head when I wake up in the morning.
6 Years ago you said this but today and the last year I've experienced this too. It's bitter sweet but I hope you're happy right now.
This arrangement is breathtaking. I love the simplicity of the original, but the layering of sound here... brilliant.
My new best band :) just love your sound. Progressiv, loud and so high and clear !
