My favorite is Nicks face as he plays. I love watching drummers as they play in general, but he is just so damn talented and expressive as he plays. Very fun guy to watch. I also really enjoy that Audiotree pays pretty equal attention to all the members, not just singling out Casey and maybe snapshot of everyone else the whole time.
I wonder why people are so uninterested in real raw talent; they would rather listen to something that has no soul, no meaning, and something that is effortless with a beat. I would rather listen to something that grabs you and pulls you in deeper into the emotions of a true artist. That's why I truly appreciate musicians that put their all into their music, and let us have a taste of their talents.
All this machinery Making modern music Can still be open-hearted Not so coldly charted It's really just a question Of your honesty, yeah your honesty One likes to believe In the freedom of music But glittering prizes And endless compromises Shatter the illusion Of integrity, yeah Invisible airwaves Crackle with life Bright antennae bristle With the energy Emotional feedback On a timeless wavelength Bearing a gift beyond price Almost free For the words of the profits Were written on the studio wall Concert hall And echoes with the sounds, of salesmen, of salesmen, of salesmen
Man do I love that last chorus. That gorgeous change of bass line for the first note, the intensity of the vocals and how each instrument add up to this moment. Damn.
its an absolutely SHAME that this super tight and clean live performance of a masterpiece song to get less than 200k views in 10 years! i love you guys sooooo much! 🩶🩶
So underrated. One of my favorite vocalists. I’ve been a fan since The Receiving end of Sirens. Also one of my favorite karaoke songs. His range makes it fun.
I can't stop with this video. Everything is so damn perfect. My only complaint is that we only get one shot of that beautiful Jazzmaster that's pulling out some super tasty licks, but everything else is so amazing. And man does that kit sound good. Snare drum goals for sure. So good.
~Lyrics~ You had them fooled, and I'll admit, you had me too But you're awfully chic to act so clean I can sense a shake, an oscillation in your voice The closet's full, but the door's swinging open Shame that you couldn't suffer the blame 'Cause now it's the only way that you could find a fix to mend It's the art of deceit With elegance, you'd plea to captivate But never was there doubt And I heard the sirens sound as you were standing still in a silent calm With curtains drawn, cursing at the light Shame that you couldn't suffer the blame 'Cause now it's the only way that you could find a fix to mend this Shame that you wouldn't suffer the blame You know it's the only way that you could find a fix to mend these lies You're not leaving anything back in this world for us So don't go taking anything back from this world but Shame that you couldn't suffer the blame 'Cause now it's the only way that you could find a fix to mend these lies
The Dear Hunter Shame You had them fooled, And I'll admit you had me too, But you're awfully chique, To act so clean, I... Can sense a shake, An oscillation Your voice, The closet's full, But the door's swinging open, Shame. That you couldn't suffer the blame, Cause now it's the only way That you could find the fix, to mend. It's the art of deceit, With elegance you plead, And captivate, And never was there doubt in my eye. With the silent sound, I see you were standing still in a silent calm, With curtains drawn, Cursing at the light, Shame. That you couldn't suffer the blame, Cause now it's the only way, That you could find the fix the nightmare Shame. That wouldn't suffer the blame You know it's the only way That you could find the fix to Mend these lies. You now leaving anything back in this world for us So don't go taking anything back from this world but, Shame That you couldn't suffer the blame Cause now it's the only way That you could find the fix to mend, These lies.
Just heard of them? You have quite a bit to catch up on, have fun! I wish I could have another first chance at listening to Casey and TDH. Such a great experience.
The bassist looks _exactly_ like Shia LaBeouf. How has no one mentioned that? It's bugging me, 'cause every time he's on screen that's all I see. But anyways, amazing track - really stoked to listen to more of this band.
Is this really live though? I want to believe it but when I see his use of the microphone, it is inconsistent. His mouth position is not relative to the dynamic in the vocal. Typically a singer will back away from the mic when the lyric calls for a more aggressive tone to help even out the level then they move back in but here in this video, it is all over the place. Do you think the video is edited and that some of the takes are put together to make one piece? It sounds fantastic and is damn near exact to the studio cut. I'm a big fan and love these videos but it just looks a bit off to me.
+David Rowe You have our word that this video was filmed and mixed live in one continuous take. We have amazing engineers. Check out our recently released Behind the Scenes series: th-cam.com/play/PLunIrIqYqs7-o_0emE-xgk--7BXDVX5XC.html More behind the scenes videos coming soon.
trust me, having been a guest on this wonderful show, i can tell you it is indeed live. not only is this all one continuous take, but because they stream it live, you only get one shot. i understand the skepticism because casey never really sounds "live" (he's just that good) and the people working the sound on this show are just beasts at what they do.
derpabot I listened to a few of his new songs and they are literally what you expect from pop mainstream. I won't deny that he's a decent signer, but his songwriting is terrible.
Just discovered this band. Seriously, I'm shocked that they aren't more well-known.
They all know exactly what notes to hit at exactly the right time. And the bass player is totally in the zone.
That’s pretty much the standard requirement of being in a band 😆
My favorite is Nicks face as he plays. I love watching drummers as they play in general, but he is just so damn talented and expressive as he plays. Very fun guy to watch.

this may be the best non studio version of a song I've ever heard! it even sounds better than the studio version. love the emotion of it.
I wonder why people are so uninterested in real raw talent; they would rather listen to something that has no soul, no meaning, and something that is effortless with a beat. Well said...100% agree!
Peter RIvera perhaps they enjoy music as soulless as they are.
they just want some superficial pretty shit to look at they dont want real life
All this machinery
Making modern music
Can still be open-hearted
Not so coldly charted
It's really just a question
Of your honesty, yeah your honesty
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity, yeah
Invisible airwaves
Crackle with life
Bright antennae bristle
With the energy
Emotional feedback
On a timeless wavelength
Bearing a gift beyond price
Almost free
For the words of the profits
Were written on the studio wall
Concert hall
And echoes with the sounds, of salesmen, of salesmen, of salesmen
I love how happy the drummer is :)
Casey sings his heart out every single song. Nothing short of amazing songwriting and talent.
This is beautiful music all around. Super tight instrumentation, interesting chordal structures, great lyrics, and amazingness.
Man do I love that last chorus. That gorgeous change of bass line for the first note, the intensity of the vocals and how each instrument add up to this moment. Damn.
My feelings exactly
its an absolutely SHAME that this super tight and clean live performance of a masterpiece song to get less than 200k views in 10 years!
i love you guys sooooo much! 🩶🩶
Damn, what a gift... seriously, one of the best things I have EVER heard...
unmatched live performance almost a whole decade later
omg that snare sounds gorgeous
Milton .McMilton It’s so perfect
That voice is AMAZING
I cant sleep on these guys....its so so crazy how unknown they seem

still some of the best there is, terrible that they are still so unknown, x
my most favorite song off the album!
I saw them live years ago and it was honestly one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I watched in awe and became a life long fan.
insanely good. would love to hear casey score a film one of these days
The drummer is casey's brother for those of you who did not know
I definitely assumed as much! They look SO similar.
I don’t see it ;)
They look alike, I kinda figured that, wasn't sure though lol
How can anything sound this awesome like the fucking snare....perfection!
That call and respond of string section really pulls this song together. Fucking butter.
I am in love with this these guys. Please, please come to Scotland.

:') my God , im crying, this is grandiose
Holy Frickity frackity. these guys are amazing. I'm astounded that I've never heard them before. Just, just, just holy crap.
The Dear Hunter
Shame
You had them fooled,
And I'll admit you had me too,
But you're awfully chique,
To act so clean, I...
Can sense a shake,
An oscillation
Your voice,

I saw them play at the masquerade in Atlanta with btbam.. they deserve more recognition.
Just knew this band a few weeks ago when BTBAM announced they would be touring together, they're so damn good!
just saw them live yesterday it was the most amazing performance I've seen yo
Just saw them live at Houston!! fucking great band
they are one of my favorites
It's like all the best parts of Radiohead and Elbow combine.. amazing music
Such a great band
what a brilliant musicians
Just heard of them? You have quite a bit to catch up on, have fun! I wish I could have another first chance at listening to Casey and TDH. Such a great experience.
What a hauntingly beautiful song
Wow!
this song is amasing good job
Sounds of sky and hell, fucking nice! Listening from Colombia.
The bassist looks _exactly_ like Shia LaBeouf. How has no one mentioned that? It's bugging me, 'cause every time he's on screen that's all I see.
But anyways, amazing track - really stoked to listen to more of this band.
Wow, just wow....
I love the fact that Chris is on the 1st Violin
Man this band is kick ass.
SO GOOD
That drummer is adorable :D
Now i just need to hear them in real life.
+Amber Elise They are currently on tour.
Amber Elise Just saw them with Coheed on coheed's GAIBSIV Neverender tour. They're amazing live.
I just saw them yesterday opening for Coheed and Cambria here in Tennessee and they were absolutely amazing
Fuck me that snare. God damn.
The Dear Hunter is great, but I still think his sound was amazing with The Receiving End of Sirens
Lol I was just thinking, the dear hunter should do an audiotree live sesh....
Fucking perfection

+Audiotreetv way to be!
+Ham Gina compression dude

Yeah. Violin tuning is what gave it away for me. There's one of those guys who can't figure out the first note of the falls.
This shit is great.
Wizard of Oz
a solid singer.. smooottt band but it's drowning out his singing too much.. love the keys!
Go back to treos!! Best band ever
Who is the drummer?
Nick Crescenzo, the lead singer, Casey's, brother.
Thanks.
W fucking ow
Casey would do a sick Justin timberlake cover.
why would he want to do a cover of Justin Timberlake.. his music is shit compared to Casey's.
How terribly inaccurate and childish of you.
Neils Afro Justin's new album is pretty great. Don't get a stick up your ass about someone just because he's pop and mainstream.
derpabot I listened to a few of his new songs and they are literally what you expect from pop mainstream. I won't deny that he's a decent signer, but his songwriting is terrible.
I hear his autographs are pretty fantastic as well. See what I did there?
does the singer have something in his nose?
Soundgarden
big man. Big beard.
Samwise Gamgy/Sean Astin on piano
Reminds me of old Coldplay a bit
@the
charismaticvoice will you please listen to this band. Please!
@thedailyp00per, you're one of the few people I've seen that remembers his original project. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
