    Earplugs is essential for me ( for any bike i ride ) tinnitus is no joke , i am so used to earplugs that I can’t ride more than 5 miles without earplugs

    I've read reviews complaining about the finish ,standard and reliability of these bike. What's your take on them? Id like one but I'm also looking at Goldwings as well.. secondhand as I cant afford new bikes these days.

      What reviews are saying these things? Before I bought my Voyager new I surfed multiple Voyager owner forums looking for unhappy owners and problem trends. Every forum was singing the same song, essentially every owner was very satisfied with their bikes. A few had bikes with 100K mi and still going. In my experience, the Voyager is like most Japanese made machines, change the oil, fill it with gas and go. I do think the Goldwing is a better bike. Like you have said, it's going to cost a bit more. I highly recommend the Voyager.

      @@VoyagingVoyager Ill see if I can find them. I agree the voyager looks to be excellent indeed...I guess maybe some people just whine about anything...I've narrowed the field to the voyager, the Honda F6b and the Yamaha royal star venture . Ill take your word for it...I was in love with the Honda Valkyrie but the 1500s are too old now and I don't like the looks of the new ones plus a pristine voyager has just popped up with 25000ks on her, 25 miles away so.....

    I think your passenger offered what I believe is the best "Passenger review" I have ever heard before. Not kidding....Motorcycle companies would benefit from her perspective.

    we have a 2018 voyager and we are both 250# plus a little extra and we are very comfortable on it the one thing that would make it better is if kawasaki or someone would make an adapter to adjust the trunk thats one drawback of the voyager not very much after market support other than that we love ours

    Excellent video. 1st time ive seen a video from the passengers perspective, and while riding no less. Im actually looking at a Voyager for my next ride, specifically for the benefit of my passenger (wife)... Thanks for this.

    Nice review.
    As a passenger, would you pay $10,000 more to ride as a passenger on a Goldwing or pay $10,000 less and be a passenger on a Voyager?

    • @VoyagingVoyager
      @VoyagingVoyager  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Good question, I think this could make for a long discussion when comparing a GW to the Voyager. If we are just analyzing comfort... My wife says that from her perspective, the GW is not worth an additional 10k, she does not find the GW to be considerably more comfortable than the Voyager. While I do beleive that the GW is a better toruing bike and probably worth what they cost, the passenger opinion here also shows that the Voyager is a heck of a value when you consider what it is offering a passenger for far less.

      Where I live in Alberta Canada it's $34,000 for a new manual Goldwing and it's $20,000 for a new Voyager.
      $14,000 is s lot of money to save

      You could probably do some mods to the Voyager to make the passenger even more comfortable and still spend a lot less than a Goldwing.

  • @gregsteiner407
    @gregsteiner407 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Deciding if a Voyager or Vaquero would be right. Obviously the Vaquero would need some modding if a passenger is joining the ride.

    • @VoyagingVoyager
      @VoyagingVoyager  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without a passenger I say Vaquero, with a passenger, hands down Voyager.

    I bought a 2022 Voyager. Waiting for it to be delivered here in Florida. I have been watching your videos. I think after I break it in I will flash the ecu maybe do the pipes. I have been waiting almost a month for the company to pick up the bike from Texas. Hope to see it soon. Thanks for letting me enjoy yours.

    This is a great review. My wife and I enjoy traveling by motorcycle. I've had Electraglides and Yamaha Ventures. Right now, all I have is my Harley Heritage. It's a beautiful bike, but it's not as comfortable as a dresser. I've been considering a Voyager because I like the price and the style. I'm most interested in how comfortable my wife will be. Thanks for this information. Good luck with the "yes" to a Goldwing.

    • @mottthehoople693

      so did you get a voyager and is your wife happy with it?

    • @les5386
      @les5386 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mottthehoople693 no I ended up trading my Heritage in for a used Electra Glide at my local dealer. I couldn't find a used Voyager close enough to test ride and buy. When we took the Electra glide out for a test ride my wife hugged me and said "I love this". That's all I needed to hear.

    knee pad pressure is a killer sometimes. Take mine out on most pairs of jeans i have, RST seem to make the best fitting ones for me.

    What do you have your rear suspension set at?

    • @VoyagingVoyager
      @VoyagingVoyager  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For two up touring, 25psi and setting 4. Loaded for touring, any less and it will drag the rear pipes too much in corners.

    Can the tour pack come off easily or is it a process to get off?

    • @VoyagingVoyager
      @VoyagingVoyager  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say it is not an easy process. The voyager is not really designed to be ridden without the tour pack. I’ve seen it done and it did not look good.

    May I ask what your recording set up consists of? Are you simply using a Comm system paired to a gopro to record the intercom conversation?

    • @VoyagingVoyager
      @VoyagingVoyager  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For video I use a Gopro 5, for sound I use a Zoom h1n with splitters so I can record and hear both of us while recording.
