Great video. FYI there are many fully uncontrolled airports in Canada as well. But we have this middle of the road version where traffic is a bit too busy to be uncontrolled but not enough to justify a full tower, so they have a remote radio. They provide advisory services on traffic and weather, but don’t actually provide clearances.
Hey thanks for watching!! Great pro-tip on flying up there. It sure was confusing for us during that moment......Once I noticed that tower I was like OH $H!T......did I just mess up......I didn't even have clearance to land. The gentleman working the radio that evening explained it to us off camera. LOL! I'm sure they get that all the time from those of us south of the border that don't frequently cross.
