I just watched his video about this few days ago , it was hilarious seeing him laugh and have fun.
It's funny because xsfn Saber was doing this Lethality build on Caitlyn in high elo for so long this year, but he actually ended up quitting league because of how "un-fun" it made league. I think he said it was just not interactive enough. Soon as someone gets on your screen, they end up dead xD.
That actually makes sense. Kaitlyn mid is basically just like Jhin mid: lane adc bully, long range ult for helping sidelines. Also a bit safer thanks to E. Same weaknesses as well.
So basically Aram Caitlyn for the last 8 months.
I've gotten one shotted from just ult with these builds playing as a squishy adc in aram too lmao
Before Youmuu is nerfed. Her R can deal up to 2000+damage on paper as well. Glad to see this build used in normal matchup.

Caitlyn is literally one of the worst ADCs before challenger. Only challenger players or few specialized one tricks make her viable. The reason they don't buff her is because if they do, then pro players who know how to abuse the range would win bot lane every time, so a QoL buff like reducing shots for headshot is the only way they can make her better for 99% of players.

i picked it vs yone, did pretty good at zoning etc, at 6 vi started ganking and they just killed me every time she had ult xD
took a while for people to catch up to this. Midlane cait is extremly broken.
Malphte is not much of a counter. You just have to rush eclipse instead of collector. As a result, there is no point in taking Hail of Blades. You instead go for grasp, demolish, conditioning and overgrowth, with legend alacrity and last stand or Cut down.
If malphite is any good, he will max W, harrass with Q. This gives you plenty of opportunities to proc grasp pre6. You rush Eclipse against tank malphite or Wits End against AP Malphite. If there is more than one AP diver or if malphite is extremly troublesome, take maw of malmortious instead. Both ways, you second item is eclipse (Enemy dive and tank heavy) or divine sunderer (Enemy is immobile). After that you continue with Serylda, and whatever else you need for defence.
Yasuo and fizz are pretty much a no bueno for lethality caitlyn. However, triforce caitlyn can deal with them. You do need Lethal Tempo though, and you go for Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Legend Bloodline, Last stand. With Second wind and overgrowth as secondaries. Start dorans shield, as you will be half hp a lot if the enemy is any good.
Against Yasuo rush ninja tabi and triforce, against fizz you go wits end into triforce. The sheen effect will more than make up for the loss of damage of lethality. However, your ult will not oneshot enemy carries lategame, and you will be more about dps.
Third item is almost always steraks, giving even more survivability against divesrs.

Marksmen need to be giga nerfed. People keep taking them into other roles but no one is allowed into their role and you pretty much need one on your team every game. Not fair.
Nilah and Yasuo are completely playable in the botlane, even free win into some matchups. The problem isny really marksmen, but that botlane is a really snowbally for the 2v2 and squishiness and giving the champs that scale the most with gold exactly what they need is kinda bad
@Jony01011 nilah is practically short range vs melee and yasuo has abysmal pickrates and is generally a horrible pick. Same with nilah. And that's with windwall and everything else. To have have that and still pale in comparison says alot about ranged vs melee
Also both were designed to be played in bot and are still not that good at it. Especially nilah who literally has duo lane mechanics built into her kit.
Nilah emerald plus is only like 2 percent pickrate yasuo at 1.9.
It's so obnoxious to play melee and short range vs adc that's why top lane has so many aids marksmen counter picks. I even remember faker losing a 1v1 to a way worse player while faker was on akali because the other guy played tristana. That should never happen.
If marksmen want the easiest highest dps in the game they shouldn't also be good enough early to bully people early in solo lane. Its bs.
wtf are you even talking about? we have yasuo, yone bot lane being completely accepted and encouraged by Riot. not to mention that mages almost replaced ADC's bot lane and Riot is still very happy seeing mages bot lane.

Even in peak mage bot they never even made up 10 percent of overall bot picks. That isn't "replacement" it's an off meta alternative. Don't type if you don't know what you're talking about.

Caitlyn mid looks pretty strong when she's
1. Fighting a leblanc for 60% of the video
2. Fighting a veigar with steel caps. Meaning he's in auto range of caitlyn
3. Fighting a level one Taliyah/ Ezreal who E's in and dies.
4. Or absolutely giga fed.
I've used this against champs like yone/zed and I goes pretty much the same. Just be careful and don't act like you have hp to spare. Make them use their key abilities and abuse their lack of range or just don't feed them after you get killed once or twice.
Instead of trying to get kills like the caitlyn on this video, if your match up isn't good, focus on helping your team in other ways (ganks, objectives, vision, team fights) and just try to keep your lane ok(ish) 😊
Furthermore, most of the time, if your jungler helps, caitlyn mid can win against most champs that would otherwise destroy her by herself (yasou/irelia/the ones above/sylas/kassadin)

i play alot of cait mid youll auto lose a lot because jungle assumes you're trolling and you get sat on by enemy jungle relentlessly. Wouldnt recommend trying in anything lower than diamond.

I'm very surprised by the whole "don't take w" thing. There's no scaling on the e so, besides lowering the CD, it doesnt bring much. Albeit it obviously is already a lot, I feel like the traps bring a bit more map control and can allow for some nice cc chains. I don't know it's just odd in my opinion.
It is a debatable point - for instance xfsn saber who popularized the lethality build went w max second always. The argument for e max is that you get so much cdr from the build that you have plenty of traps, and often don't use them all, but more nets is great for escapes and gives more reliable headshots.

You only take E in lvl 2, unless you have a support that allows you to chain cc, after lvl 2 just keep lvling W no matters what.
The point is that no one steps on trap in high elo unless they are already cc, but since caitlyn mid doesnt have a support she just cant land a W, also, E helps you to disengage

i main cait and the lethality build is nerfed really hard on her so I suggest everyone use it very situational (better when the opponents are squishy) and it is difficult to comeback from losing/late gold income especially when the enemies are fed and tank(ish) the lethality dmg wont do much in fight, while you may build shieldbow to counter tanks, crit cait does far way better.
Though since usually mid laners are squishy mages, leth cait will work well in early if you abuse them lol i would try to use cait in mid but def only for once.

@@TurkeyMeat 49% in dia plus, that basically means in every two games she wins one. It isn't even a bad winrate if she's at 47%
Besides we've been in adc meta for the last three years.
@@XenagarD a 3% winrate difference when there are 5 players on the team is absolutely huge, especially when ADC has the lowest game impact for the first 25 minutes which is when the majority of games end. 45% winrate is literal garbage, 47% is D tier. I'm not making claims about ADC in general, just cait, but just because showmaker is doing decently on the pick doesn't mean anything about the champion lol.

Idk, I think Cait mid is strong, but I think you should go crit instead, that may just be me tho. Your ults will still hurt of course, but your autos will delete people and you can be an extra good objective taker, which is one of the main reasons to be an adc mid.

Only riot will nerf a champion because people complained about their one shot ult spamming build, only for it to still be in the game cause it's an adc and riot hasn't properly nerfed them for the last 3 years. See ap kaisa w still one shotting, see zeri etc etc.

I feel like Draven would dominate especially since his early game abuses the q base dmg and then giving him a late game would be terrifying since one kill if he doesn't die is worth like 3 kills not to mention that sometimes its worth holding on to the stacks to give his ultimate an execute, but that's just my take.
