I actually have a house spirit in my tractor trailer, I sold my home and moved into my truck which has all the comforts of home. I love my truck and named her Lavern. I made curtains for her, I have an induction stove and small convection oven, magical pictures by Maggie Wanderwalle hanging in here, my besom hangs over my bunk and I have a refrigerator, and a tv with surround sound. We park and sleep in nature a lot, by mountains and streams. Somewhere along the way, probably from miles and miles of talking to her because of being alone (I really should get a dog) she has come to have a life of her own. I feel safe in here and it’s very cozy. I also decorate seasonally. She seems to love it. I also believe I picked up another small traveler along the way who lives in my upper bunk. We are all happy. I’ve had other drivers tell me they like the vibes they get when they visit with me in my truck. 😊
Thank you for this great video Colette! I like to say goodnight to each room in my house (and my ancestors and deities) and say thank you to each room in my little house 🤎
I purchased my home 21 years ago and never planned to look in my neighborhood due to the age of homes, and they were not the size and price point I was looking in - I wanted something bigger, newer and nicer (so I thought). One day while looking at houses I was drawn to drive down the street where my home is. There was a small for sale sign with an arrow pointing toward the home. My head argued with my gut and I followed my gut. I pulled in front and property and it was so small and very plain. I made an appointment and went inside to look around and it was bad. It was built in 1951 and had not been updated since then. And the elderly couple that lived there had so much stuff and most of it was still in the house and would not be removed. I wanted to run but something kept pulling me in. I went to the main bedroom and walked to the window that overlooked the back yard and I opened it. It started to rain. Oh! That feeling in that moment as I stood there staring out the window. I can still feel it - and it’s raining as I type this comment, which adds to that wonderful feeling. There were the most beautiful trees and the tree right outside the window was a pecan tree and the rain coming through the trees was intoxicating. I was home. I knew this was a special house. I bought this place and don’t feel like I own it - I’m just the steward of the property while I’m here. Shortly after I moved in I started remodeling. I was sitting on the sofa in the den and I could see in the kitchen through the doorway and a pass through window between the rooms. I did not have doors on the cabinets or pantry because I was refinishing them. As I sat on the sofa, reading a book, I heard a rattle in the cabinets. It didn’t stop and kept getting louder. I looked up and my favorite glass measuring cup flew out of the cabinets, across the room and slammed against the back wall, breaking into a million tiny pieces. I got up and cleaned up the mess. I knew I wasn’t alone and something felt threatened, probably because I was remodeling. I did not sense evil and felt I needed to acknowledge the spirit that was there. I let them know that I wanted to make a home here and I had no plans on getting rid of any inhabitants unless they caused me harm. I said I love this home and want to make changes to improve it. They are still here and we get along fine. I have worked to turn this place into the cottage it was meant to be and it is turning into a lovely witchy home. I’m alone a lot but never feel alone - and not in a creepy way. This place is so cozy and filled with lots of happy. There is a loving warmth that surrounds me and I hope I live a long time so I can be here in this place.
I've had a House Elf with me since I was very young (I first saw it before I was 6yrs old). Each place I move it follows. I've recently made it a spirit house and offer it bread and milk but want to develop the relationship further.
That is wonderful. I think continuing to give them offerings is the best way to develop the relationship further. But since you've known them so long and you seem very aware of them they will let you know what will work. Thanks for replying. Colette
I have lived in my house 27 years. When I had a mayor house fire and had to leave for a year for a rebuild I got really depressed. I am so attracted to my house.
I had only heard of making offerings to house spirits but never what exactly they were, so thank you for clearing that up and all the great information 🧡 so happy I found your channel blessed be
I think we have a little fairy. My shaman friend saw it one day and told me it was a tiny male fairy that wore a blue shirt and tan pants and his name. When she saw it while we were on Zoom, he tugged on a bit of my hair. So fun!! He loves teasing my cats, too.
Thanks for telling me. I have lots of ways to get info from the spirit world, but sometimes it is so great to just have basic yes/no method when talking to them.
I have been waiting for this video thank you so much. Lately I’ve been seeing shadows from the corner of my eye in my house and unsure if they are spirits and in one particular spot in my house, I feel like there’s always some thing there. Watching over me…
If the shadow is dark, I would consider doing a house clearing if you haven't already. I thought that the shadows I saw in my house were friendly, but then learned they were malevolent. As I grew into my power, I realized that the dark shadows were preying on my cats. Broke my heart.
@@vogan If you have intuited that the spirit is good, go with that. Back in 2011, before I came out of the spiritual closet, I wasn't energy-sensitive. We had dark shadows walking thru the house and I didn't sense them as being ominous. My favorite cat died from unknown causes at the age of 10. He was healthy. Even the vets were stumped. "He shouldn't be alive" was their comments. I didn't anything more of it except the feeling of grief. 5 years ago, the remaining 2 cats in our family died within 24 hours of each other. Sure, they were elderly and had their own set of problems, but within 24 hours? At that time, I could see dark energies helping themselves to my new apartment. A year later, my spirit team amped up my sensitivity and I fully awakened. As I walk my path as a witch and shamanistic practitioner, I have seen all kinds of things -especially when I recognize that we live on a ley line. I've had to do major clearings every other day. After talking with other shamans, my suspicion is that my cats died at the hands of dark energies. Breaks my heart. Today, I carefully watch my 2 new cats and their health. HTH
A few weeks ago, my little dog died in my arms as I held her while sitting on the living room floor. Sometimes my other dog will look at the spot where Molly died and her tail will wag or she barks. Sometimes I swear I hear Molly's pitter patter walk around the house. Do you guys think she is still there with me? Idk I just miss her so damn much. 😔
I'm so sorry. I'm glad you have other animal companions to be with you. I don't know if it's true for you but my experience is that they do communicate or come around from the otherside.
I bet she is!! I'm so sorry for your loss. Our furbabies are some of the best parts of us. My pussycats stick around as spirits and visit us some days. Sometimes they show up playing in the red cart we bring out for groceries or walk all over us in bed. I can call my kitties back to visit, too. Also, when we moved across the country, I told my late cat Bacchus, to join us. And joined us he did!
My Dog still appears in my dreams from time to time, when something's up. In my experience it is possible that she chose to stay to guard you. So sorry for your loss, by the way: Losing a member of the family is absolutely devastating.
@@Chickenface12345 thank you. Yea, it's been almost 3 months and I still cry for her every day. A couple weeks ago I had a dream that she walked through the door. I was so excited but as I ran over to pet her she vanished. Ugh that next day was so hard, like losing her a second time. 😞
Thanks for such an informative video! My husband and I bought a new home last winter. The house is 40 yrs old and I sense a benevolent presence in the basement. It's not a ghost, it seems more like a folk spirit of some sort. Whatever it is, I sense that it is male, rather shy, and not dangerous. My ancestry is Celtic, Russian, and German. So that makes narrowing it down a bit of a challenge! Any advice? Thanks😊
I'm glad you like it. Maybe start with German because there is more info on house spirits in that culture. Also there is a lot of crossover between Celtic & Germanic magic. So even though they might be known by different names they might be the same. I find narrowing things down with a pendulum to be a very useful skill.
@@witchways Thanks for the advice, I'll do research on German house spirits. You did mention using a pendulum in the video and that got my attention. I have a pendulum that works well for me. I'll see if it can help me figure out this spirit. Thanks again! Have a lovely day.
