@@ChaoticWitchAunt Hi there chaotic witch, it's not even that simple. How many millions of farmers were pushed off the land during the Great Depression, families may have lived there for five or more generations. The whole money system assumes that whoever buys land has 100% righteousness and entitlement to that land, while those who live without land are unworthy of land. Those who buy land will argue till the death that they own the land and they will barricade it against encroachment by others, right up until the day when their heirs wish to flog it off in a fire sale. The money system is based upon that notion.
@@ChaoticWitchAunt I don't want to be 'that guy', but I have to say something on this subject. Your implication is that people of European descent have no right to the land that they have bought/worked/cultivated/settled. This suggests that the land only belongs to those who lived there prior to the European settlers. But did that land belong to one people? There were 500 nations in North America before Columbus ever set foot here. Nations that occasionally warred with each other and fought for resources. Which people did the land belong to back then? While you were attempting to establish the moral superiority of the Native American, your statement becomes racist in that it implies that one Native American is the same as any other Native American, and their claim as a whole has precedence over any European's claim. Your position on this matter is nothing more than white guilt and cultural self-loathing. It fails to take into the consideration all the different peoples that claimed the land before the white settlers ever arrived. Land 'belongs' to whoever can bond with it and maintain their claim on it. ...whether by force, or legal documents. ...IF you can say it belongs to anyone. I do apologize for the tone of this post. YAAAASSSS 😍 *This* is the content I keep searching for (but finding very little of) 😩😭 My familiar/spiritual protector is a lynx, and she can be so funny sometimes, like, I got a tattoo to honour and thank her, I do other smaller things as well, but she just be like "eat reindeer!!" at me until I do so 😂 I also connect a lot with my ancestors through music. I have Sámi heritage (and live in Northern Norway, so having reindeer meat in the freezer is semi-normal), and when I listen to Sámi joik, especially the album "Idjagiedas - In the Hand of the Night" by Mari Boine, I feel the power of my ancestors in my bones. It can be very intense, but also comforting. I think at times it -- or rather *they* -- literally helped me stay alive.
This is absolutely fascinating. I had my house built so I am the owner. This is in Virginia, and I think the land was Cherokee, not sure. I have Cherokee in my blood, along with black and white. Will I even have a house spirit? I have learned a lot! Thanks for the upload. I have looked up books by Claude Lecouteux. I am fascinated by demons (daemons) and spirits.
My house Spirit mainly wants me to keep things clean. Especially the kitchen. She literally slammed the dishwasher door and started it in the middle of the day once. 😅One of my dogs sensed her there right before it happened to and made a little fuss in that direction just seconds before. Clean spaces are happy spaces though, so I can't really complain. 😆 Aside from that, I will occasionally hear footsteps on the stairs, which are carpeted, so he/she (not sure if it's the same Spirit that hangs out in the kitchen. I don't think it is/was though) is really stepping. lol I started keeping some plants in/around that area, and there's not as much ruckus there now.
I’m pretty sure I have a house spirit. They’ve been around since I was a kid but it’s like they just live there and don’t interact with my family much they just vibe
I’m going on vacation to the beach next month. Do you have any suggestions for offering and gifts for the ocean and beach spirits I can give or do? I want to pick up some shells and see if I can find some hagstones so I really want to make sure I give something back to the spirits before I take something from the land. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
Thank you for this video! I've recently started working with my abyan (spirit guide) and I feel a little lost on what to do sometimes and I'm always worried about doing something to upset them. I've been leaving them offerings on my altar and spend time with them at least once a week and so far that's been going really well for me. I'm still working out a way to meditate with them in order to communicate yet it's slightly difficult as meditating for me doesnt feel comfortable at times.
Im loving your new video quality, you're my main inspiration to start practicing. Thank you for this content, I was looking forward to connect with my ancestors
After watching this I did some research on indigenous tribes of my area. I plan on going more in depth with my research and also donating to the active tribes. Its unfortunate that I live in an area where so many cities and street names are from native tribes but the the area was so colonized that the native population is miniscule and a lot of the tribes are now extinct.
Im mixed with Cherokee but i would say no one really owns land especially in indigenous spirituality (its on my dad's side so im not apart of there tribe it has to be on your moms side) that being said it does influence the way i work with my ancestors. It's apart if my practice to serve the wondering spiritis of the land and similar ways of connecting the land and house (hearth particularally) i have river stones in my hearth in the four direction for house spirits
Thanks for this awesome video! :) I'd love to learn how to do smoke cleansing/smudging in the home (without setting off smoke detectors). Tips and tricks would be appreciated! :)
I would love to know how to build a better and strong relationship with spirits. A tree-like spirit (similar to an ent in LOTR) is around, taking care of me since 4-5 months (although I only started to notice him since 1). He is very kind, and helps me a lot, cleansing my energy blockages, waking me up from nightmares, and coming with me wherever I go.😊 I have learned his name, why he's here and some of their favorite offerings but I would love to do more and to be able to communicate regularly with him.
I would love a video about your personal way with your heritage. I am also half Italian but a lot got lost with my mother trying to escape the pressure of being the only daughter and my grandmother getting Alzheimer.
how do you find out their names like with Edwin and Rue? Do they send you messages through dreams, pendulum, or do you just intuitively know? Also, thanks for the vid, super helpful.
Edwin was a message and then a confirmation through another medium. A lot of my plant allies, like rue, are allies with ancestral ties, and I meditate to with plants to get the specific names.
@@ChaoticWitchAunt when you meditate is it like a knowing that is happening or do you get like a separate voice? I'm just curious because I'm not very intuned to my intuition yet.
OK, cool, what is a bit scary is that I was checking out "Braiding sweetgrass" half an hour before starting to watch this video on goodreads. Cool. 😂👍😉
Hey Frankie I have a question for some I can’t find this answer anywhere well kinda 3 but How do you cast a circle How do you close a circle What is a circle exactly and why do witches have to cast one ? Have a blessed amazing day I love you and stay hydrated :)
A circle is a form of protection used before casting a spell or really anytime. It’s a great form of protection and usually people use it also when they call the corners/elements. I suggest looking up how to call the corners/elements and how to cast and close a circle. It can be very simple and I try to use something to guide the circle either drawing a circle in salt or even simpler that can be done at anytime would be drawing your circle with a wand ( if you have one of course, you could also you incense smoke or any other object you can make a circle with). Use multiple sources and I wish you the best!
@@frostbite2094 Thank You for explaining the circle am also pretty young in practising and me lives in a socalled ghetto with many various nationalities especially roman and sinti people who have their own way of practising I use salt on my doorstep to keep evil out Blessed be

my English is really bad but I wanted to share my experience i do automatic writing (yk... when you receive messages from spirits and put it into a letter) and what I learned was that you can decide who is going to talk to you and who won't. I think that's really important especially for beginners, cuz if you don't keep in mind that you are not received messages from those who need help, they might see you as the only opportunity they have to scape and they won't want to leave you be careful with the things that you allow them to do next to you ^^ (I'm saying that based on what we believe in my country, you don't need to take it too seriously if you don't want to)
love this. another fox spirit i find interesting is pretty much the Chinese equivalent of the Japanese Kitsune, the Huli Jing, which is one of the most powerful and feared "demonic" spirits in Chinese lore. i read what i know from The Encyclopedia Of Demons And Demonology by Rosemary Ellen Guiley...however even though i love it, i now wonder if that is a credible source.
You mentioned going to the people who the land belongs to, I live on Iceni land but there are no Iceni people anymore, and there haven’t been since AD 50 how would I go about connecting with the land I live on without the people native to it? America’s history of invasion is much less complex than other places, it is easy to think of Europe as land that has not been stolen from its natives, but in reality it is land that has changed hands so many times it can be impossible to know them.
Not many modern pagans know of or consider animism which is dissapointing... considering that animism is the basis/foundation of all paganism, wherein polytheism was a natural step up, by deifying larger spirits. It's really impossible to be a pagan without an animistic worldview! I'm trying to connect with those roots as well, by connecting with the spirits that live in my garden :)
I’ve been reaching out to my spirit guides recently, & I believe an archangel has been reaching out to me (appearing in meditation, synchronicities, books, dreams, etc). I’ve been researching abt this Angel, but am still unsure how to work with them, especially potentially long term. Many of the resources I’ve looked at are asking for manifestations and such things rather short term. Anyone who has worked with angels/archangels before, any advice? Thank you!
i have always personified like everything i own/meet, but especially things in nature and things that have spent significant time w me in my house, is this like rated to animism/ what could it mean for me on my path?
As a spirit worker who deals primarily with the deceased and plants (and is slowly starting to incorporate more animal energy into my craft) I am l o v i n g this content. But what I really came into the comment section to say was I love your makeup today! xx

I’ve always felt some sort of other presence that’s just vibing but I would always just tell myself that it was probably just my imagination. Now that I’m beginning to be drawn to witchcraft and watching many videos such as Frankie’s (btw I’ve watched all your videos and I love the work you do!) I’m starting to think maybe I do have a few ghost friends hanging around 👻☺️
I love this. I’m so glad I found you. I just found out I am part Sicilian and Cuban and polish on my dads side. (He’s adopted) I also lived in Italy and visit often pre covid. I know some of the language and when I’m in Italy I belong. I am familiar with Tuscany culture and a some of the Neapolitan culture and Amalfi coast. your channel resonates with me and your book selection is what I’ve been looking for. I did not know where to look. I have Grimassi but wanted more. Thank you. And cand I look forward to more videos.
thank you Frankie for all your informative and interesting videos!!
YAAAASSSS 😍 *This* is the content I keep searching for (but finding very little of) 😩😭
My familiar/spiritual protector is a lynx, and she can be so funny sometimes, like, I got a tattoo to honour and thank her, I do other smaller things as well, but she just be like "eat reindeer!!" at me until I do so 😂 I also connect a lot with my ancestors through music.
I feel like I could've missed so many animal spirits :/ I do have a special relationship with my rose bush
Aside from that, I will occasionally hear footsteps on the stairs, which are carpeted, so he/she (not sure if it's the same Spirit that hangs out in the kitchen. I don't think it is/was though) is really stepping. lol I started keeping some plants in/around that area, and there's not as much ruckus there now.
I was literally just looking for a video on this topic xD
I picked up braiding sweetgrass because of this... it's so good omg :00 SUCH a repository of knowledge...
As always I took so many notes I am already reading the ancestors book but I will be adding some of the others to my reading list too thank you
Thanks for this! I was looking for plant spirit info the other day. Couldn’t find much. lol
This is a gem , thank you for making this video!
As a beginner, your videos are so helpful!
OMG, I watch your tiktoks all the time on here.Im so glad i found your TH-cam.
I’m pretty sure I have a house spirit. They’ve been around since I was a kid but it’s like they just live there and don’t interact with my family much they just vibe
Encyclopedia of spirits is a great read!
I’m going on vacation to the beach next month. Do you have any suggestions for offering and gifts for the ocean and beach spirits I can give or do? I want to pick up some shells and see if I can find some hagstones so I really want to make sure I give something back to the spirits before I take something from the land. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
when i go to the beach i usually ask before taking shells or stones and pick up trash in exchange!!
if you pick up a piece of beach wood or something like that, leaving a strand of your hair in its place is a nice trade
Could you make a video on dissecting how to do a spell? Like how to set intentions, picking the spell that’s best, picking the best intentions, etc.
I'm an animist too! I'm also on lenape land 🥰
Ooo, I see the Encyclopedia of Spirits book behind ya! Have the same one, I LOVE it!!🖤
Also, a fellow Italian Folk Magick learner!😉
This was helpful thank you!
I'd love to learn how to do smoke cleansing/smudging in the home (without setting off smoke detectors). Tips and tricks would be appreciated! :)
I wish I could like this video more than once!! 🙏
Can you do a little more on ancestor work? Oh and house spirits please. Your videos are always so interesting and informative to watch.
I would love to know how to build a better and strong relationship with spirits.
A tree-like spirit (similar to an ent in LOTR) is around, taking care of me since 4-5 months (although I only started to notice him since 1).
He is very kind, and helps me a lot, cleansing my energy blockages, waking me up from nightmares, and coming with me wherever I go.😊
I have learned his name, why he's here and some of their favorite offerings but I would love to do more and to be able to communicate regularly with him.
Interesting.......Duvdeviah Taphtaphiah Hachereb Adrigon Charoite Kali Wali Mesukiel Aketeriel Mahakala Bala Bala Hehehe Capalatmika Kalabhairava
Very informative! 🙏🙏🙏
definitely gonna start working with plant spirits! thank you for this very informative video frankie!!
OK, cool, what is a bit scary is that I was checking out "Braiding sweetgrass" half an hour before starting to watch this video on goodreads. Cool. 😂👍😉
Watching your videos calms me so much somehow, thank you ❤ and also teaches me😅
I luv this video very helpful:))
Hey Frankie I have a question for some I can’t find this answer anywhere well kinda 3 but
How do you cast a circle
How do you close a circle
What is a circle exactly and why do witches have to cast one ?
Have a blessed amazing day I love you and stay hydrated :)
Am intrested in that too
Blessed be
A circle is a form of protection used before casting a spell or really anytime.
@@frostbite2094 ahh thank you :)
@@frostbite2094 Thank You for explaining the circle am also pretty young in practising and me lives in a socalled ghetto with many various nationalities especially roman and sinti people who have their own way of practising I use salt on my doorstep to keep evil out
Blessed be
In her recommended channels, you'll find Hearthwitch! This person has a specific video on circles and it was really helpful for me! Highly recommend it :)
Can you revisit this video.. I’m really interested to see how your craft have advanced in a years time !💕💕
Great video and very informative as always.
Do specific ancestors enjoy personal items they had in life (if you have access to them even photos)
my English is really bad but I wanted to share my experience
i do automatic writing (yk... when you receive messages from spirits and put it into a letter) and what I learned was that you can decide who is going to talk to you and who won't. I think that's really important especially for beginners, cuz if you don't keep in mind that you are not received messages from those who need help, they might see you as the only opportunity they have to scape and they won't want to leave you
be careful with the things that you allow them to do next to you ^^ (I'm saying that based on what we believe in my country, you don't need to take it too seriously if you don't want to)
Gurl i found a bird scull and i really dont know what to do with it everytime i touch it Energy flows in my hands
Thank you 😩💜
love this. another fox spirit i find interesting is pretty much the Chinese equivalent of the Japanese Kitsune, the Huli Jing, which is one of the most powerful and feared "demonic" spirits in Chinese lore. i read what i know from The Encyclopedia Of Demons And Demonology by Rosemary Ellen Guiley...however even though i love it, i now wonder if that is a credible source.
what an amazing video! thank u frankie
I have so many questions about spirits you work with because I am an animist but I like to think of my practice as being a theurgist.
Very informative video, but now I think I need that plant lol
Any recommendations for working with a spirit that was an old friend who passed
As a spirit worker who deals primarily with the deceased and plants (and is slowly starting to incorporate more animal energy into my craft) I am l o v i n g this content.
But what I really came into the comment section to say was I love your makeup today! xx
Ahhh thank you so much!!1
Do you have any videos on familiars specifically? Just found your videos and I’m binging! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Also what's the best way to start?? I'd like to set up "wards" too. 😊
What in the wonderful world have I stumbled upon?!?!
Hi, I'm watching your interesting video for the 1st time, thank you for the inspiration. Hope it can be useful for you the consideratiin that ancient Italy was home for different cultures, Etrurians, Romans, Sannitics , Celtics..it depends on the area your ancestors are from. Bye 👋✨ xxx
