Finally a gel polish products made in America! They do have beautiful glitter’s. Thx for your honesty, it’s always appreciated when I hear someone on TH-cam regarding a specific product (even general products)!
Thanks again for the information, I actually had just added the saviland gel art to my Amazon cart from your favorites tab. For nail art I want to start with something very affordable to see if I can even do it 😂 I don’t have the most steady of hands. I loved the nail art you did here and the color combination was flawless. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
I think that is REALLY smart Savannah! The Saviland paints are very nice quality and a good way to see if you even want to use them on the regular. Honestly I think they are quality enough that you wouldn’t even need any others! Thank you my friend! 🥰
You make gel polish look so easy, and it can’t just be the rounded brush or the brand girlie🫶✨I appreciated the honesty which we all come to expect and love about you, screw hype. I wonder if you can buy rounded tipped brushes to replace existing ones for us on the struggle 🚌
Aww thank you Wendy! You're the sweetest! ❤️ I think it would be difficult to find some rounded brushes to fit existing polishes. I'm sure it's possible but it would take a bit of finesse. I've seen plenty of nail polish brands that offer the rounded brushes, but not a whole lot of gel polishes. To me, i don't find it makes a huge difference...it's the practice to me that is the most effective in improving gel application. Believe me, in the beginning my gel polish manis were a mess! 😂❤️
I have the Ionic potted gel and the base and top. I got it with tips as a set and it was nothing special for the price. They have some pretty nude shades though. Beautiful mani
Yeah they really do have a ton of pretty nudes. I wouldn't be against having a few more, but I think there would have to be a good discount to persuade me. They're nice polishes, just like you said nothing super extraordinary. Thanks for sharing your experiences! ❤️❤️❤️
I've had a gel topcoat do the same thing to me! It dimples the same way and kinda "melts" together again after some time but... if I have to let the topcoat chill on my nail for a while I just feel like that makes it harder to keep out of my cuticles and side walls :/
mine actually does this, too. i usually just put more than i normally would apply, and it doesn’t happen. but agreed with amanda that if i wait too long for it to settle, it just pools in be wide walls and then i have to clean it up there lol. so odd 🧐
This was a cute color combo and they still turned out cute! The "Gel Couleur" gels are supposed to cure non-tacky, so I bet that's why they're touting use in nail art. Different collections of these have slightly different directions. One of the sets says "When applying on Gel-X Tips, NO base coat is needed." Their product-level instructions are for natural nails and do include a base coat, but don't mention that there is no need for a base coat when applying to the Gel-X tips. Seems curious that the top coat behaved that way, but maybe there is an incompatibility with the swatch stick plastic? I'd probably try to double cure and/or wipe that "non-tacky" cured Gel Couleur, then try the top coat again or try that top coat on a couple of different color gels just to 'see'. I'm of a mind that even if some gels say they cure non-tacky, there always seems to be some kind of residue (even if not obvious) left behind, so I always wipe non-wipe cured nails a few minutes after final curing so they don't dull from the gel cleanser. It's always disappointing to pay for something and not get the expected performance, and I lean toward cheaper options most times and have bought certain more expensive branded items for performance, so your experience matters and I appreciate you sharing it with us. Have a great weekend! 🥰💝
Thank you!! 🥰 You’re right, they are supposed to cure non tacky but they did feel the tiniest bit tacky to me even after a full cure. I don’t generally wipe down tacky layers as they can help prevent the top coat from chipping, though sometimes I will have to wipe them down if I make a mistake on nail art. I only top coated on top of the gel colors, and the base coat did not wrinkle up like that. I’m more leaning towards a bad bottle out that the top coat formula just doesn’t mesh well with their colors, but that would be a pretty bad design flaw if true. Either way, like I said, not willing to buy another bottle to find out. Especially when already have several gel topcoats in my collection that I love. Thanks for sharing all your ideas! I appreciate you! ❤️❤️❤️
@@carriegnails I don't blame you even a little bit for not wanting to get another bottle just to test. I personally would not even keep it around if my testing revealed it was conclusively substandard. I'd chalk it up, but I'd also either find a use for it or pitch it with extreme prejudice. I'm (mostly and usually) low key vengeful that way. LOL Thank you for reviewing and testing these things. You save us all a lot of unnecessary expense and aggravation! Love ya' bunches and oodles! 😍🥰💖
@@Mir_Nohti I may have already trashed it 😉 I’m definitely not one to keep subpar products in my collection just for effect. I don’t mind it too much though because if it helps one person save their money I’m happy! Love ya to pieces back! 😊❤️😘
Hey Carrie!! Gorgeous mani and I 💙the colors you chose! It was so weird the way that top coat applied. It reminded me of applying top coat to a nail with some type of oil on the nail 🤔 Strange! Anyway, I love watching you do ANY type of nail art and I think you sell yourself a little short sometimes on how amazing you are at nail art! I love the abstract nail art you did in this video. I wish I was able to create even half of the things you’re able to create in your videos!! Practice…practice…practice, right?!? 💅🏻 Thanks for the video and enjoy your weekend!! Btw…..have you ever heard of TinoVo’s channel? He has two channels….one dedicated to the Live’s he does where he is teaching nail art and then the other one is a regular IG channel I guess. I’ll put both links for you below, the first being his tutorial channel where you can watch his Live’s/replays (he also posts times he will be going Live) and the second is his regular IG channel. His work is amazing and saying he is entertaining is an understatement! 😂😂😂 instagram.com/tinovo.shop?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= instagram.com/vo.tino?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Enjoy!! 😉
Yeah the way you described the top coat is exactly what it looked like. Like it was separating over something oily. So weird! Thank you for the kind words. You're always so thoughtful! You're right, practice always makes better!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I will definitely check out TinoVo! Thanks for the suggestion! Have a wonderful weekend yourself!

Thank you!! 😊
Pretty color combo
Thank you Kathy!! 😊
Thanks for your insight on these new Apres polishes. How do you feel these compare to Madam Glam gel Polish?
My apres top coat does the same thing

My gel record vinyl record came with a great brush… don’t no why I’m so scared of gel.. they are so runny…
I need more brushes in that shape… time to shop, any 💡

You’re not wrong there girlie! That’s the first time I’ve experienced it. It was weird! Not eager to try it again 😕

Did you try to remove the inhibition layer on the color gel? Sometimes that helps.
Not on the nails but on the swatch stick. It didn’t help. This formula is off.
