Hey awesome tutorial, best pixelating effect I've seen so far!
Any ideas on a way to remove pixel jittering (achieving the so called pixel perfect effect) when moving around?

Hey there, I'm glad you found it useful! 😁
I have found turning off lumen helps a little, as it gathers lighting information relatively slowly resulting in a sort of "jitter" for some post process effects.
      I hope that helps! 😄

Trying to follow but I don't quite understand everything that's happening - but if it works it works. However, I can't seem to get rid of that pixel jitter even when the camera is still. FXAA did not help. TSR seems to help the most but then other objects in the scene become INCREDIBLY wack. Any idea as to what I can try next or where to start looking?
PS: unsure if you've changed this already but you could boost the volume of your voice up in the video, you were a bit quiet even on loud settings.

      Hey there!
I had a look into the issue and from what I can tell there seems to be a difference between 5.4 and the version the tutorial was completed in.
After testing it in 5.4, I found turning off lumen stopped the flickering (in addition to setting the project to fxaa).
Lumen uses a final gather algorithm which means the shadows are always changing. They can make a lot of post process effects flicker unfortunately.
      I hope that helps😄

@@realityadriftstudio I think I disabled Lumen in the project settings but I'm still seeing the flickering, with FXAA on. Not sure if there are some other settings I'm missing but I'll look into it more. Thank you for the help!

Is it possible to make this local to one character?

    Hello !
That was a really helpful tutorial, so thank you a lot.
I'm a web developper trying to play with game engines haha.
I have one question if i may ask. You are 'Downscaling' the texture with a shader (i use simple terms don't roast me haha), based on the percentage of the viewport window (or screen).
    My question is :
Is it possible to 'downscale' any viewport into a specific resolution ? (exemple : 640x360) and reupscale the result back to the viewport ?
Sorry for my lack of technical vocabulary, i hope it makes some sens. Thanks for your time, have a great day :)

Hey there, I'm glad you found it useful 😄
I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding your question so correct me if I'm wrong! 😅
Through this shader effect it will downscale too whatever resolution you set. But it doesn't set the viewport resolution. So it will automatically upscale to the players viewport resolution but the scene will be rendered at the resolution (visually) that you have set in the shader.
Oh and on the specific resolution rather than percentage based. There should be a section in the video discussing a switch between percentage and a specific (4.05 mins).
      I hope that helps! 😄
