    Public: So corporations are people?
    Courts: Yes
Public: So they can be criminally charged and dissolved?
Courts: NOW hold your horses there buckooo!

To dissolve a human being would clearly violate the 8th Amendment. Therefore, as long as Corporations are legally persons, dissolving a corporation would violate the 8th Amendment as well.
We need an Amendment stating that Corporations are legally created non-person organizations that only enjoy the rights that the state allows them to have.
I admit that I don't know very much about the topic. I'm sure others have much better formulations. I'm just spit balling. However, I do know that legally recognizing corporations as "people" with all its legal consequences, seen and unforeseen, is totally insane.

Screw overturning Roe Vs Wade, this shit right here, corporate personhood, needs to be overturned. I mean the major thing destroying this country right now is Citizen's United, and it's all because of this ruling.

Corporations are made up of people, but not everyone in the corporation has the same privileges or perks. Manual laborers are sadly easily replaced and without effective unions their wage increases are proportionally lower than upper management and administration.
CEOs arent obligated to use profits to raise labor workers wages or bring down production costs. Instead of finding ways to make wealth flow down to the major consumer population it flows up to the major shareholders. Of which the corporations' rich just buy back stock options.

Erase the legal fiction of corporations entirely.

Yes rescind corporate personhood entirely, which was an erroneous conclusion based on deception and then precedence anyway.

Is the government an individual person?
Is the church an individual person?
The corporation like all the above are a collective not individual. A collective is the opposite of individual. A collective cannot be an individual and an individual cannot be a collective. A collective can be individualized but will never be an individual.
Calling a corporation an individual person is like calling the government an individual person.
A lot of politicians should have went to jail for such a self-serving law of ignorance that’s little more than legalized bribery.

I believe corporations are people too no different than the United States of America is a corporation too, and they, We the People are too? Now my message is this, I personally believe any child or teenager who is involved in an accident and were riding electric scooters without helmets without their parents knowledge of present location eVen with but child has no helmet INSURANCE COMPANY'S and CORPORATIONS ARE PEOPLE TOO should not be liable to pay out damages. Why? Well if a teen or child is sharing a form of drugs with their parents or a parent eVen a parent in that understanding that this fruit off a tree of knowledge of good and evil will make them dry like a tree found standing out in the distance with green leafs and no fruit on it is not a Corporation owner/father or mother in their seed of an investment of idea responsibility to share liability with an absent landlord of that child's house for such are the kingdom of heaven defended bye a common defense to secure the posterity so why maketh the "WE THE PEOPLE" to pay and become surrogate fathers and mothers when the childs mother and father are standing at a distance placing in an orphans basket at a time of trouble pushing it down the river of denial???

People are autopoietic entity, corporations are allopoietic. Does he and you know it! ???

      @platypusfeathers 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Ante Lauc I don’t know about that, maybe. The way I see it, corporations are also allopoietic, the individual industry processes may not be, but the businesses must self sustain themselves and create the value which allows them to continue.

Humans are corporeal, corporations are abstract concepts. Simply attributing a building, name, tax ID#, and symbols to some notion does not make it a living breathing thing.
Though the people controlling the corporations may act on their own accord as a person, the corporation itself is incapable of taking on the tangible mantle of personhood

Person hood of an inanimate entity should only be awarded if they meet a at least 2 of 3 requirements...
!.They are literally & ; owned, operated, & controlled by an individual flesh & blood person - of relatively sound mind or very limited (single digits) # amount of stock holders.
    2. Any business given personhood should itself profit under a set amount... My meaning is; multimillion dollar corporations, companies attempting to skirt the standard by breaking what was a single company up into subsidiary endeavors, & companies attempting to unload profits into normally charitable or campaign endeavors (makes a mockery of both good meaning things), would all be disqualified.
    3. The company / LLC etc. must possess a limited capacity to not only export goods but must not be permitted to funnel gross amounts merchandise into off shore companies which are not typically subject to these standards.
Otherwise company should incur damages of literal execution, since after all it's a person.

Personhood, on any designation which equalizes an “entity” with humans must at LEAST demand that entity be a real, corporeal thing.
The slippery slope of allowing anything besides humans to share human labels in legal terms risks those non-real entities to exploit their natural immunity with the boundaries we living breathing people oblige.

Corporations have enough money to pay lawyers to write arguments why they should have the rights endowed to people by our forefathers. It’s the same as drug companies buying the FDA and paying for positive consensus from select grant funded science. Problems will ultimately arise when we refute We The People in favor of money simply for the sake of money. The arguments concerning money are naturally inclined to weigh continually against the people who do not possess the same might in their defense. It’s very simple when you without bias observe that corporations are in fact not persons or people they are in fact businesses and corporations. Any other language are an attempt to distort meanings for some form of monetary gain that is also very easy to see.
