This was a clear breakdown, Jakub. Tone, style, and creative rules are helpful anchors for a film.
For my docs, I create a list of 5 keywords that guides every decision such as tone, style, rules, and even character selection.
These keywords are based on, who is the target audience, how do I want them to feel, what impact do I want to have with this doc, what’s most inspiring about this story, and what’s most unique about the story.
Also, fun hair color. Is the smiley face permanent?

Nice one Danami, I will try the 5 word method on my next project! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching :)

You’re welcome. I don’t comment often, but I watch often. Also, congrats on joining the roster of SOWN.
I’m in the midst of creating something similar, but give away half of our storytelling services away for free to black-led and black-benefiting organizations.

Hi Jakub! Thank you very much for this amazing video!
Which tool do you use for postproduction?
And how do you know which equipment etc. you need in order to have the visuals you preselected for the video?

Happy you enjoyed it Khalil. To answer your questions:
#1 - For post production I use Davinci Resolve
#2 - You breakdown the visuals into technical aspects and that should give you a good idea of what gear you will need. For example if you know that you want to have smooth shots and very low to the ground you will probably need some sort of stabiliser that can be set into under sling setup and extend it by using a monopod.

Hey! Thank you for your great advice .
How did you connect the fd lenses to the Mavo camera? Is your camera mount pl? And also, what is your fd lens converter?

Thanks for watching and the question Amin! I cinemoded my FD lenses to EF mount using the Simmod Lens conversion kit. That way I can use it with my kine to EF adapter on the Mavo.

Thank you for that! It's very insightful and full of practical advises. One question: do you have a Milanoto Templet of you project for share? Of course for $$ :) It could help immerse even more into your thinking process and reflect on that more thoroughly :)
