    Cayenne is perfect for building the perfect off roader.

    Good job. Nice to see now you bring this offroad beast to a little further level. Hope you enjoy the ride.
    BTW, there is an easier option for the lift. As your Turo S is equiped with air suspension. I ithink you can use the VCDS Diagnostic Software from Ross-tech to connect to the ODB2 port, then reset the high level control module so that you can get higher ride. 3 inch lift should be doable with this.

      I'm familiar and have heard of that option, though the issue is that in doing that the bags are stressed much more and the ride quality decreases!

    • @ChooliYip
      @ChooliYip 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HarrisonSchoen I personally like the higher ride with the air suspension as it feels a little bit softer and smoother. I hope german made this vehicle with supporting that stress on the bag.

      @HarrisonSchoen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChooliYip on road yes, but riding off-road at higher pressures in the bag increases the likelihood of popping bags.

      @ChooliYip 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HarrisonSchoen In general, I believe the max pressure of a single air bag can hold the weight of your vehicle with full load. Plus you may lower tire pressure when it is dealing extreme offroad challenge. But it make sense to reduce worries for aged air bag.

    Great content, seen your videos a few days ago or so. Keep it up your channel will blow up. Looking forward to seen your upcoming videos. May god bless your soul. You earned a sub! I own one aswell and have dont alot to it. Interior panels middle console speakers subs TVs. Its a real SUV ,unlike some others. Really reliable and easy and fun to work on. Add starlights and a cooler with champagne glasses just to give it that classy vibe, ladies love it and I get compliments all the time. If u want some ideas you can make easy and cheap videos lmk. I've done just about everything you can think of to keep it classy but enough to go off road. Looking forward to Seen what tires and off road rims u gonna add to this incredible beast of a suv.!

    Do the spacers negatively impact the ride comfort? I had a tacoma with spacers and I thought the ride was so stiff and harsh vs stock and then finally vs coilover.

    Hey Harrison, I’m about to buy a Cayenne and do the lift. Would you advise not doing a lift with an air ride version Cayenne? And buying one without air suspension instead? Thank you!

    • @HarrisonSchoen
      @HarrisonSchoen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recommend finding a cayenne without air suspension 100% if you plan to use it frequently offroad.

      Ive been offroading my v10 touareg with air and now cayenne turbo with air for 8yrs combined and have had zero issues. There are a lot of benefits to the air suspension and the only downfall is the potential failure and no shock selection. I love this platform and the other vehicles i offroad are a 22 raptor and a semi built 94 range rover classic. The cayenne is the perfect size and mixture of luxury and capability

    Have you ever worked on a later model Cayenne? I have a 2019 that I;d love to lift and put off0road wheels and tires on it..

    • @HarrisonSchoen
      @HarrisonSchoen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally have not, though I do believe there are lift options available for it!

    • @ThomasRodriguez

      Be mindful that spacers are often the least desirable method. When you add spacers you limit the amount of suspension travel, thus creating scenarios where you can bottom out or top out faster and harder, potentially causing damage or at minimum a much more in comfortable ride.

    Harrison….
    Quick question
    I was ready to buy a 2008 Cayenne S 60k miles.
    Wondering if you would be interested on helping me lift it for 33” obviously making it worth your while….
    Only thing is I am in Colombia, 🇨🇴 South America.
    I would pay your cost, acommodations and send you $$ to purchase the entire material that you recommend.
    Would that be a possibility?!?!

    • @HarrisonSchoen
      @HarrisonSchoen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there Julián! I’m sure it would be possible to find someone in your area to help with installation. It doesn’t need to be a Porsche shop! I think it’s a possibility yes, but please send me an email.
