Therapeutic counseling is never done by the one who is related to the client. It's unethical.
Eish! That marriage could have easily been annulled...under common law if a marriage is not consummated on the wedding night it's deemed to be null and void. I think in the midst of the confusion, betrayals and uncertainties surrounding your courtship you forgot to attend premarital counseling. This could have really helped. Wishing you nothing but the best 🙏

Premarital counseling is an imperative thing that should not be undersized.
Not really. Neither the Marriage Act, Common Law nor even Canon Law mandate a consummation date. What they mandate is the act itself. Even if a couple delays for years, the marriage will still be valid after the consumation
