Some Lore I decided to make on the spot: Dr. Robotnik (AKA Eggman) was wandering around his recent rebuilt base plotting on how he can finally defeat Sonic. Metal Sonic had recent been bested by Sonic. Eggman was tearing out what little hair he had left trying to figure out his next scheme. Shadow accompanied Sonic in the defeat of Metal. It was then an idea struck. Eggman will do what Gerald did, make his own ultimate lifeform. He sent out two drones in order to get dna from both Hedgehogs. While the one that was sent after Sonic returned with his sample, the drone sent after Shadow was noticed by Omega and swiftly destroyed. Eggman was originally going to send another drone out, but decided against it, in order to not arouse suspension. He then joyously went trying to create a clone of Sonic that would only listen to him. However, he had a major problem. Most of the clones he did make were unstable, often collapsing into a heap of quills and skin. While Gerald had the aid of Black Doom, Eggman didn't. Eventually, Eggman gave up on trying to make the clone because no matter what he did, all the clones had Sonic's unwavering will for justice. Eggman was returning to the room of his base where he threw all the failures in a giant hole. He would deactivate the failures before tossing them away. He destroyed them all. At least, he thought he did. While, he thought he deactivated all the failures, one was still alive. This living clone managed to attach itself to a badnik that was being sent out to destroy Sonic. This clone eventually left the badnik and went off to find the real sonic. After all, it didn't want a faker to ruin his good name.

due to the naming conventions of the original song pizza time never ends, the pizza time song name for this fake sonic pizza tower thing would be "Its Speed Time!"
That Fake Sonic sprite's _ingenious._ Even besides the distorted proportions, the sprite itself looks wrong, feels wrong, and *is* wrong. It's edgelines are noticably sharper and darker, color gradients uneven and more sporadic, as if someone's tried to draw the original sprite exclusively from memory. It's a crude mockery of a different, more refined image. The exact dynamic that it should be looking for.
Probably just shading gone horribly wrong if you pay attention to the pixels around those spots. I mean blood does add to the scary factor but it's probably just pixel art gone wrong (on purpose). Edit: You "COULD" even joke he has a bit of chilli on his face. Jokes aside, surprised no-one has modded chilli dogs into pizza tower yet, especially with a certain referenced hedgehog counterpart.
Imagine the arena is a makeshift green hill. Most items like rings or rocks are cardboard cut outs, then during the second phase, limbs from Fake Sonic began to emerge from rocks, the sunflowers are replaced with just faces of Sonic with petals around it, sorta like a reference to that one Sonic Boom episode.

Zound [Fake-Sonic] Attacks: Meat-Dash: Zound will start to spin-dash in a corner of the battle arena, when he launches himself, parts of him will start to fly away by his speed until he completely melts, if you touch them, you'll get damaged. Zpikes: Zound will give a large smile before cover himself in large dripping quills that will hurt anyone that touches him. YoU'rE tOO sLoW: Zound will start to run slowly across the arena, speeding up everytime he reaches the corner of the screen. If you don't hit him whenever he puts on a sad face, he'll continue to go faster till he hits you. Zound Waves: Zound will jump into the center of the arena, then, he will turn into a floating ball that will follow you and scream everytime you jump. The scream will free little spinning Zounds from his mouth. “Gold Made”: Zound will be able to steal rings of yours when you get hit by one of his attacks. When you hit Zound, he will not take damage and will let go the rings he took from you. |Phase 2| Zonic: There will be another Zound attacking you during the fight. He has the same attacks as the original but will not stop until you hit him once [a max of 3 Zonic can appear] Copyhog: Zound will randomly replicate an attack of a random boss you had fight, it can be Dr. Robotnik flares, or Mecha sonic Jumo Dash and shooting spikes. |Final Phase| This is no fight but a “race”, Zound will stand at the center of the screen mad, he will start to shake his head before growing up into a massive size. You'll have to run through a corridor which has random pieces of levels before seen. Zound will chase you while you escape and if he catches you, game over. Hardest part is the Labyrinth zone fragment, Zound will stop before entering the water and you'll have a brief moment of relief, until you realize Zound has mixed with the water, and random limbs of him will block your way as you try to search for the bubbles. There are only 3 bubbles in this part, so good job trying to evade the annoying hands of Zound attempting to grab you.
Okay, but I'd kinda like to see this Fake Sonic in an EXE-style project (not necessarily based on the EXE story), but still - the idea of having this grotesque approximation of Sonic chasing us down and threatening to devour us sounds like my idea of a good time.

the game faking you out that you're gonna fight metal sonic as the fakeout for pep fighting himself is GENIUS both Metal and Organic Sonic (i'm calling him that) have this very clear "something's wrong about this clone" feel, and i (personally) think that Organic Sonic does it better than Fake Pep himself

I wanna see a Sonic EXE fan game where the titular demon (reluctantly) teams up with Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman to destroy this thing. If he wanted to kill them, he would’ve already done so by now. But if they succeed, he’ll let them live. Actually doing in Mr Needlemouse, though, is where the fear comes in. Instead of generic creepypasta cliches, they’d be horribly deranged and warped versions of Sonic levels/mechanics/etc. Needlemouse does in the cast one by one (haven’t figured out how or for what reason yet), until Lord X himself guns for the faker. That’s when the creepypasta factor springs up in full force as the demon is scared for his life for the first time ever. Needlemouse is borderline mindless, with a one-track mind of thinking it’s the real Sonic, but it’s far from it and he just wears down Lord X through sheer endurance. And then Needlemouse notices the fourth wall… EDIT: We can also throw in EYX, Majin, and Rewrite in the mix to split off with the group members. SECOND EDIT: Maybe even Shin Sonic as either Needlemouse’s final form, or its own thing (cuz if Needlemouse took HIM out, Lord X should feel scared for the very first time).
That would be pretty funny. The droopy Sonic clone beating Lord x by simply not getting tired. I imagine him being created by Eggman who used some of Sonic’s DNA and chili.

i genuinely can't think of a game with sonic as the main character that has a non-GH zone for the first area -frontiers does NOT have zones, it does not count -shadow the hedgehog doesn't count either since yeah
Idea: Fake Sonic will take advantage of you running, and will force you to stop running in order to stay alive. basically: your *one* ally is now against you.
Ideas for move set: sphere leap; he bends down and touches the ground for a second, then leaps in ball form a fair distance before elanding back down. Speen sphere: he does an in place cartwheel and curls up into a ball, and spins dashes away, does 3 or 4 loops of the room before halting in a similar stance to sphere leap. Group attack: after first hit; bunch of fakes pop up and sphere leap at sonic, falls apart apon landing. Ceiling attack: triggers at 2nd phase, bunch of fakes form on the ceiling then ball up and fall to the ground, they smash apart apon contact with the ground and sonic, lights appear where they fall, find the gap! That's all I got so far, don't expect updates.
I can't you're just correct since exe has been reduced to nothing more than basically a joke with a few good games but a lot of them are just walking simulators with cheap jumpscares whilst this one would be absolutely terrifying every single time since it just feels so wrong but is just so good at the same time
I feel like if this was a real boss after sonic team started taking whatever mc pig was having there would be a messed up version of green hill playing. Now i kinda want to hear that in the same vain of pizza time never ends

I wanna see a Sonic EXE fan game where the titular demon (reluctantly) teams up with Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman to destroy this thing. If he wanted to kill them, he would’ve already done so by now. But if they succeed, he’ll let them live.
Actually doing in Mr Needlemouse, though, is where the fear comes in. Instead of generic creepypasta cliches, they’d be horribly deranged and warped versions of Sonic levels/mechanics/etc. Needlemouse does in the cast one by one (haven’t figured out how or for what reason yet), until Lord X himself guns for the faker. That’s when the creepypasta factor springs up in full force as the demon is scared for his life for the first time ever. Needlemouse is borderline mindless, with a one-track mind of thinking it’s the real Sonic, but it’s far from it and he just wears down Lord X through sheer endurance.
And then Needlemouse notices the fourth wall…
EDIT: We can also throw in EYX, Majin, and Rewrite in the mix to split off with the group members.
SECOND EDIT: Maybe even Shin Sonic as either Needlemouse’s final form, or its own thing (cuz if Needlemouse took HIM out, Lord X should feel scared for the very first time).
That would be pretty funny. The droopy Sonic clone beating Lord x by simply not getting tired. I imagine him being created by Eggman who used some of Sonic’s DNA and chili.

Idea: Fake Sonic will take advantage of you running, and will force you to stop running in order to stay alive. basically: your *one* ally is now against you.

Ideas for move set: sphere leap; he bends down and touches the ground for a second, then leaps in ball form a fair distance before elanding back down. Speen sphere: he does an in place cartwheel and curls up into a ball, and spins dashes away, does 3 or 4 loops of the room before halting in a similar stance to sphere leap. Group attack: after first hit; bunch of fakes pop up and sphere leap at sonic, falls apart apon landing. Ceiling attack: triggers at 2nd phase, bunch of fakes form on the ceiling then ball up and fall to the ground, they smash apart apon contact with the ground and sonic, lights appear where they fall, find the gap! That's all I got so far, don't expect updates.

I can't you're just correct since exe has been reduced to nothing more than basically a joke with a few good games but a lot of them are just walking simulators with cheap jumpscares whilst this one would be absolutely terrifying every single time since it just feels so wrong but is just so good at the same time
