I just googled wilja spuds and it says they're an all rounder, similar then to king Edwards or maris piper me thinks. Should be fine, TBH any potato would work even sweet pots, although I think they might end up mushy if cooked for as long.
Thanks Geoff, I was so pleased with how they turned out. I've made them before in oven dishes like the ones you'd use for lasagne and they were nice but this deep one was a lot better.

Victorianox are really decent and good value for money, glabal are top quality but if you don't keep them really sharp they are hard to work with. Thanks
