Such memories. Went there in the 50s with my parents, in the 60s with my girlfriend, in the 70s with my wife. It was our go to restaurant, even at 2 AM. Then I had to move for a job. I miss it.

I ordered food for Xmas last yr and I got the usual which usually cost me $60 and because I am a regular there he gave me my order for $20. The best Chinese food and we/Seattle have the only Tai Tung in the whole USA. Now that speaks volume.

Guess Harry is keeping the tradition and lore going.. says he started working at the restaurant in '68, Bruce died in '75 but had left Seattle by '65. Nobody at the restaurant today will recollect Bruce as a client, except some of the retired staff who linger around. The place is steep with history, might venture in next time.

Same here. I have been living in the Seattle area since 1991 and not once have I eaten in there. I have to make time and go eat there.

@@degustationsdeseattle In that case I'd be curious if your share your opinion and experience of their food here. Don't want to put you in the spot if you are familiar with Cantonese food though. Peace.

@MrHoppers002 That was a typo on his death which was in 1973, but the point is he had left Seattle by '65. 3 years before Harry went to work at the restaurant.

@@henryrhee47 Bruce died in '73, typo. But he left Seattle because he started a new school elsewhere.

    props to harry.
    but at the same time.
he really needs to plan of succession or something just in case.
he's not getting any younger and well let's say he passes away (at his age its possible) who takes over?
    is the restaurant finished?
but i'm sure he's a intelligent man and probably thought of this already.
