I made this with the rope I had on hand. My dog loves it. He did fetch and then some tug of war. Great time was had by all. Then I just let him play with it himself. He untied the knots but the welded ends stayed intact (unlike him). So I guess I'm going to get very good at tying this knot.
That is SO COOL! Might I suggest you change the thumbnail to a closer, more zoomed in picture of the disc? I think that would help grab people's attention. As right now it's a bit hard to tell what the disc is from the thumbnail. Just a thought! Keep up the great work!
Very cool. I've tied the triple crown many times, but never seen this application. Was just thinking today that I must tie another monkey's paw pull-toy for my girl, Sofie, but I think I'll try your frisby instead. Thanks ..
That’s awesome!! I decided on my request: soft shackles tied to my leather work gloves (plainsman brand). So that I can easily hook them together and clip (or tie??) to my belt loop. I will have to punch a grommet first.
Awesome! I've been curious if there is a way to put in an inline toggle similar to a Marlin spike but one that's adjustable one way, but would regain tension when pulling the opposite direction. This would be useful for something like pulling up a crab pot into a boat for example. You could put that t handle in line, pull up the rope, slide the toggle down, pull up the rope, slide the toggle down...
The rope I used was 9.9mm. You could try repeating the same triple crown knot on both sides to build up the ball. You would have to lace it with paracord to keep it from coming undone though.
loved this video! One thing I learned, if you play tug-o-war with it, make sure you and the dog are pulling on the same colored cord. If not, pulling on separate cords will untie the knot! I'm wondering if there's a way to use superglue or something to lock it so it's more permanent?
@@First_Class_Amateur I have the same issue, could you maybe elaborate on this? The form is great, but as soon as you pull on the two separate halfs it just falls apart.
@@First_Class_Amateur Thanks for the reply... I thought that may be the case. Our "Tug" is a black Labradoodle/Wheaten Terrier mix. That dude is the smartest pup I've ever seen! Happy Thanksgiving!
That's awesome! Somebody is having lotsa fun there at the park. Lovely dog. ?: wondering how to best secure two 12AWG extension cords (3 prong) from separating when joined to make a longer cord. Each 5m long. Moulded plastic ends with large shoulders. If anyone knows it'll be you! Thanks.
I don't know where you get all these ideas from, but keep them coming. Love your channel!
7:00 that's the happiest doggo I've ever seen 😊
*YAY, Dog gets to Play!* Thanks! This is going to be Great Fun, Good Dog, Ollie.

This is a great project for my scouts! Thanx
BYW…did anyone else hear a rooster crowing during the video?
Going to get rope in the morning. My dogs are gonna love this. Thank you!
What an OUTSTANDING knot complex! Great share! This will be hours of fun with my family and dog!
thank you so much for this idea. I make dog leashes from retired climbing ropes, I'll have to get some people to test these out!!
I wonder if you can make one with det. chord?
My dog is going to love this

I’ll take it! Thanks! As soon as I get some sunlight I’ll update the thumbnail.
Such an awesome vlog! Great knowledge share!
I can't get mine to lock. Looks right. But mine keeps coming apart.
Okay I'm definitely making this for my friends dog. Awesome.

Amazing idea, and It looks quite simple so I will try it
Very nice .
Do you know what the mm of the rope is that you used?
8.9
Nicely done. Thank you for sharing. There is a big red coon hound who will cherish this new exercise toy.

Umm... Mine loosens up after only a couple of throws.
Origami rope. Nice!
Awesome!

Def doing this with paracord for my friend's cat.
I just did. Cat really likes it. Won't give it back 😹
@@Marjax nice. Might have to sew a tiny catnip pouch and lock it in the middle, haha
I just made this with 6mm utility cord from REI but the ball is a little small. Any recommendations on a rope diameter?
The rope I used was 9.9mm.

Now, i need a dog

I made one for a friend. We made a needle from wire and laced paracord through to keep it tight.

Looks like Arizona. Mesa, I'm guessing?

Thanks for the great idea! GREAT VIDEO! I need to make this for our new pup with lots of energy! BTW, what breed of dog is Ollie?
He’s a Labradoodle

Mario, try tying an overhand knot using each end of the cord. Once they are crossed, plug them in.
@@First_Class_Amateur right on! I was trying to get too fancy after watching all your knots 🪢 😝
100k soon my friend 🤞
