not really related to the video but something to keep in mind: if someone is laying unconscious face up in an area exposed to the open sky and their eyes are open for whatever reason, MAKE SURE TO CLOSE THEM. If they cant close their eyes and are looking to the sky for a prolonged period of time there's the risk they'll go blind from staring at the sky at the sun
@@FeeESC yeah that works too, what matters is that they dont stare unprotected at the sun. This was this guy one time who got stung by a paralyzing jellyfish at the beach and barely got time to get to shore before the was completely unable to move for hours. Unfortunately for him he was facing up with his eyes open so by the time someone realized something was off the damage to his eyes was irreparable so became blind
@@FeeESC yess it's okay, but preferably close them since your eyes can dry out if you keep them open for too long. If you are able to close the eyelids the moisture on the inside of the eyelids will prevent the eyes from drying out x
This is why they always tell you to stay back and let them work. Just listen and do you are told so they can save someone's life, like I don't know, your fiancée!!
6:22 no, I’m sorry I don’t care if my boyfriend, my dad, my mom, my sister, my brother, anyone in my family was in the situation I would not be stupid enough to touch the person after they say clear that is common sense even if you’re not a medical professional when I first started watching like medical TV shows with my best friend. I remember her not knowing what clear meant but automatically I said to her it probably means take your hands off before they do the shock like I understand when your emotions are really high that you can do things without really thinking but this one I feel like it’s just so staged and if there is somebody who would do this in real life Please consider some quick decision making training😂❤
The problem with continuing to try to keep someone alive is that while they may be breathing, they most likely have little to no brain activity and will spend the rest of their life on machines. Honestly, id rather die on the beach than live like that. And I wouldn’t want my family to have to make that decision.
You wouldn’t necessarily think that the actor who plays Chief Boden once played Alf Garnett’s council help Winston (Marigold) in the UK show “In sickness and in health” back in the 1980s either.
I used it in people in their 70's and some actually survived. People in V-tach don't survive at the rate you see on TV, especially if they've been down long.
"Does she not know what clear means"?!?! are you KIDDING??? Do YOU not know that when YOU are the one defibrillating and YOU are the one yelling clear, YOU check to MAKE SURE everyone IS clear!!!
Those AED machines shock automatically. Once it makes a certain noise, you have 2 seconds to get clear or you will get a shock. The EMT was just yelling "clear" to ensure that everyone around who wasn't familiar with the machine knew to get clear. Once that tone sounds, there's nothing the EMT can do to stop it.
@@calumryan6328 mmm no. She was going the right speed. But her posture was way off, maybe that’s why it looked like she was going too fast? Her body needs to be rigid- arms locked, back straight, and you need to push with your whole body, not your arms. But, again, if she did it correctly, it would lead to severe bruising, or even fractured or broken ribs. During actual cpr, ribs *will* break.

True. The human brain can only last for less than 10 minutes without blood and oxygen before irreversable brain damage sets in.
Too true. But I'd rather die on a blonde.
Twenty plus years working in Emergency Departments as a Physician. There is so much wrong here that I could puke.

How is chase a nurse with an accent yet also a firefighter without one in Chicago fire LOL
Because it's an actor that can play a variety of roles, do you think this is reality and not a tv show?
1. He was a doctor on House MD
2. The actor (Jeese Spencer) is actually Australian. He's faking an accent here.

just saw someone post a video on tiktok abt the bts
Epinephrine or epi as it is called is fine if a person who does not have a pre-existing heart condition. For some of us it would kill us to have it.

Not Brett casually telling the fiancé that the guy doesn't have a pulse. I'm sorry if you told me that I'd be like crying.

They were trying to rob the crashed armoured car. It had gold bars in it
Saudades, Chicago jamais será o mesmo infelizmente 😢😢

I think it is because of that female getting too worrying about her husband. That's why she didn't notice that the paramedics told her to clear off.
"That female"?
Really?

SHE DOSENT NOW CLEAR
Was now going to type where os police
so sad man
Its annoying how bad they do chest compressions, it maybe a show but make it at least accurate!
… I imagine their options are limited. If they did real chest compression, ribs are gonna be damaged.

Next time they should ask you first 😂😂😂😂😆😆
sometimes actors want to leave shows, this isnt a box of action figures where you just take people out and add new ones in
