I have a question for a final I'm taking. I really don't like the way they worded the question. They ask After clicking the wheel (gear icon) at the top of the Dashboard page,which option should you select if you need to activate account numbers in the Chart of Accounts list? Here are the four possible answers are 1) All list and I know that is a no but the last two bother me because they are yes in some kind of way so after another no 2) Products and services you are given the 3) Chart of Accounts and 4) account and settings. They changed this mid class and I'm still confused. I was not able to log into the class for the first week of class and I feel lost at this point on this. I think the answer is Account and settings, but you are also in the chart of account. It says so in the question. Google says I'm right, but my book says it is Chart of accounts, and I don't know who is right. I hope someone can get me right on this. I don't trust Google AI at this point because it has lied to me about other questions. I've asked of it. sorry for the long question but I am your first so it should be long right? I guess I'm confused because you do go to account and settings but then after the advanced key you are in the Chart of accounts and that is confusing for me. I still think I am right that it is asking for Account and Settings I just want a yes I'm doing it right. I know the steps it is just the wording of the question at this point for me. The thing that has me confused is mid class we got a update that says to assign account numbers you go settings or gear icon. Then select Chart of accounts to Action dropdown menu select edit add account numbers in the number column then once you're done ,select save and close it is just so many ways to get there that I'm confused. The way you showed in the video is the way I understand. I'm sticking with Account and Settings as my answer it's just an odd way of asking the question considering you can get to the numbers in three of the ways they ask. The only thing that directs you is the gear icon or settings button whatever you want to call it.
The way I read the question, "activate account numbers" would mean--"How do you turn on the ability to use account numbers?," not "How do you add account numbers?"
As with most QB tutorials, my screen was totally different. But this got me close enough, and now I have account numbers. Thank you!
