Wondering how successful I can be at this being very but willing to learn. I am currently working as a CDL truck driver and looking to get out of the industry. I'd have to replace my six figure income to go with this full time. Any suggestions (I signed up for the waiting list for the phone call) as to how long it takes to make that kind of money. I hate driving truck...lol

When we pay the Bills we need to choose the "Payment account", don't we?

Don't. Be. Lazy! Working as a friend's bookkeeper, I got SO lazy about logging the receipts in one year. Lo & behold, when I had to go back through & clean up my own work, I didn't have what I needed & couldn't get them due to an office fire. That's the biggest lesson I learned this year & reiterating that to our clientele is crucial!

I just finished your proadvisor level 1 certification course, no clients, no other finance experience, still working my full time job. What would you suggest my LinkedIn header look like? Don’t want it to be misleading but definitely want to get that certification visible and move that direction

well, if the owner won’t do what’s necessary to provide that info, there’s not much the bookkeeper can do. Yes there are bad bookkeepers but a lot is dependent on the client.

I do think it makes a difference on the level of service your client pays for. For example, if a client is Paying for classification but conciliation and financial reports and their fee reflects that then that’s all they’re going to get. If the client requires more time and detailed review of reports, then that has to be accounted for in the price.

Excellent feedback. Am I wrong if I say that it would be nice if new bookkeepers volunteer first for accountants so we could learn from them? Good luck Ms. Margie on your new Accounting education.
