The radio is resting against the camera lens, it is not jacked into the camera as it has no speaker jack. So I cannot mute one for the other. It really relies on the angle of the mic in relation to the wind direction. I have tried a few variations on mic types and not had any better results, sorry. @edenhunter9904
That surprises me Daff because in a few shots you show the jetty that runs out from the pilot station that's on the Melbourne side of the the old Queenscliff fort.@@daff.wallace2267
Excellent video. It has been great watching your videos during 2023 and I look forward to seeing more during 2024!
Happy new year!
@@daff.wallace2267 Thanks - and to you!
radio traffic makes this more interesting than similar vids🙂
Yes I try to catch the radio calls live, but the wind , surf and people come and talk next to me when I am taking video. So I just do the best I can.
Have just found your videos, really great to watch🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad you like them!
Some footage of the pilots climbing down the ladder as they disembarked close to shore.
maybe lower the sea volume and make radio traffic more audible

Hi Daff - is your camera auto tracking the ships from shore (which I assume is in or above the pilot station opposite the Vue Grand)?
No hand use on tripod. Taken at Point Lonsdale.

The pier is the Lonsdale pier a lot larger than the pilot pier. @@davidholder3207
