So this one appeared in the Revelation show for a few seconds when Evil Lyn was telling her story to Beastman, it's in part 2 I think. Very interesting version although I would prefer if they would give us a battle armor or a dragon blaster Skeletor variant instead of this one. But he is cool nonetheless. Great mix and match of parts as always and u are a brave man, switching the boots just for the review lol. I was trying to do that once with Faker and I thought I broke him, thankfully I didn't but I said never again lol.
Thanks for stopping in and the back info on where his concept toy design appeared in the Revalation show. I missed that part or didn't see it. Aside from that, it is a cool Skeletor look with a lot of potential for customization, as I showed in the review. Yes, I was scared to try the boots to switch out between two figures. I have removed boots before on Masterverse figures. The best way is to stand the boots in boiling hot water up to the ankles for a few minutes. Then, remove the figure and use a wash cloth around each boot and gently pull. They should be soft enough to pop off. Then heat them again and push on the pegs of the figure you want them on. I used a blow dryer. That works, but it is risky because it doesn't heat everything equally. But it's faster than hot water. Overall, I'm glad I tried it to see what Skeletor looked like with Horde stuff on! 👍
It says Revelation because that's how Skeletor was portrait in Revelation, in the part when he saves the Evil Lyn from some dudes that were chasing her.
This should have been the Skeletor model for the first wave, the face sculpt here looks on point, paint applications are excellent, details and all. Looking forward to make some custom job there, the figure looks so good.

I also heard Rumor of a possible New Eternia Keldor and Granamyr coming in the line. As long as the figures sell and enough people support the line, then Hundreads of figures are possible! Certainly, all the core characters first, as we see with Revelation and New Eternia. Thanks for watching 👍

Yeah, the head sculpts and cloak are probably the coolest part of the figure. He is just a repaint of the original Skeletor in the end with a couple of new accessories, but it's still fun to have and use for custom parts. Thanks for checking the review out as always 👍
I didn't think that this Revelation Horde Skeletor was going to be worth getting, but after watching your review I can see that where it really has a lot of potential is for parts swapping with other Masterverse figures. The figure itself seems to be really similar to the original Revelation Skeletor, but it's just different enough to make me want to get it if I see it at the store. My favorite look is the one you did with Hordak's parts and accessories. They combine very well between the two figures. Great video, I always enjoy watching your reviews because you seem to go the extra mile in covering every possible detail about these figures!

New head, new loincloth, new cape, and repainted armor, Not bad, I'll get it I find it at a reasonable price, but not my favorite version, still would be nice to own, adding more versions of him to my collection, Good review !!!

They're really holding out on releasing an anniversary Masterverse Skeletor (with articulated jaw) to go with He-Man we got a while back. Unless you got the SDCC exclusive with metal weapons! I'm really on the fence with this Skeletor though. Love your reviews and enthusiasm! You put a lot of work into your videos and swapping parts!
Thanks for taking the time to stop in and check out the review as always! I did hear rumors last year of a single card release of the anniversary Skeletor. But I haven't seen any updates yet. Sometimes, there are loose ones on eBay from that set. I was gonna try parts on that one in this review from Horde Skeletor. But many Masterverse armors don't fit because of the over large bucks. It depends. I remember reviewing those two and trying certain parts and armored accessories. I'm glad you enjoy the parts swapping! That is very time-consuming and stressful sometimes to keep pulling things on and off figures!
thanks for doing your usual awesome swaps and comparisons... I'm seriously thinking about doing the leg swaps with the Hordak figure. I painted the bats on mine red and I think it might look super cool on this Skeletor. But then I don't know what to do with my Hordak, but I'm sure I can find one for super cheap since he went to such a deep clearance at Target. Definitely something to consider, and so many options with the cape and armor!

The Hordak parts work out really cool. Certainly thecCape and The Boots. If you use parts off Hordak for this Skeletor. Then just use the Skeletor parts you take off back on the blue Hordak body and make some other variant figure. Or pick another one as you mentioned on clearance! Yeah, he turned out really cool! What's funny is I had the movie Skeletor out, and originaly did try some custom setups on that figure but didn't film it because I had a problem with the Cape and Head hood design the Angela figure has. It didn't work well from what I tried. So I stopped. Plus, I didn't want to make the review too long. Custom videos can be a whole other thing! The box says revelation because he made an appearance in revelations when evil Lyn was explaining when she met skeletor pretty much what the bio says on the box. When I saw him on Netflix I knew I figure was coming out soon and I can't wait to get one although I do believe that his name on The box should be horde skeletor

I think companies would sell so much more product if they just made more "stoppers" for their molds. This way they could give skeletor the Hordak boots etc. and not waist. I see this problem in all figure lines. They just reuse the entire mold instead of mix and match cause they don't make fillers for the parts they don't need. Some of these gi joes would look so much better if they swapped some pieces instead of reusing an entire body for someone that doesn't fit the part.

At first, I couldn’t recall if we had already seen Horde Skeletor in Revelation or if it was a preview of what was coming in Revolution, but then when I saw the bio, I remembered it was a flashback of Evil-Lyn’s backstory. Other comments have clarified, so I won’t repeat what they have said. So, I do like his design. However, I’m not really a fan of the soft-goods hood/shroud. I wasn’t a fan when Mattel did that for Andra either. To me, it just looks like something out of a school project with cheap material; but beyond that, I don’t like having to readjust the clothing each time to make it “look right,” if that makes sense. Other than that quibble, I like the way the figure looks. The head sculpt on this one looks great!
Yeah, apparently, this design was inspired by the Season 2 flash back scene as yourself and the other mentioned. I never saw that, but I have heard a little bit about Horde Skeletor and his design before the Revalation cartoon. He really just another variant with a cool looking skull, new soft cape, and different color skin. I think it's OK. Maybe cool for customs. Some people like the soft hood design. I wonder if we'll get peasant lyn, i.e. the generic clothes she was wearing when skeletor appeared with this look to save her. She had a different hairstyle, and if they include multiple headsculpts (of different villiage women) it could be a world building figure.
I guess it's possible! I didn't see the scene on that, or were the inspiration came from for this Horde Skeletor Figure. I only know the early concept history of his rise to power betraying Hordak in the books. They already made two evil lyns from Revelation in the Masterverse line. @Themanchlid they actually made 3 versions of evil lyn, one was a mattel creations exclusive. The flashback scene where skeletor saves her is on youtube, so easy enough to watch for context.
It does kinda feel like this figure is in this wave to save them a bit of money after all these big figures with expensive tooling. Still looks cool though
Yeah, he is just another variant of Skeletor with a few new things and paint. The design came from a dream sequence in the Revalation season 2 show. I never saw that episode. Yes, I have the Classics Batros on the card. They look close, but my Batros looks a little more of a shiny grey color. This Skeletor loos very flat. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 👌

If you are referring to the Origins or Classics one. Then, the armor will fit on both figures. They are the same as the Origins and Classics Skeletor figures I used in the review when showing customs with the parts swapping.
It seems like all of these $20 - $30 figures are being capped when it comes to the paint. Companies are cutting every corner to cut back on colors and wash. McFarlane is also doing this. It’s a real shame. The factory costs must be so high. Something is deff going on.
Yes, this is definitely true! Figures from Mattel and Mcfarlane are really getting the axe with a lack of paint apps or certain details depending on the figure or usless it's an expensive deluxe. it's surprising to see Mcfarlane doing this with his spawn figures, which I collect and review too. The newer articulation is really cool compared to his statue like figures back then. But that stuff had unbelievable details then and cost half the price of figures today. I have a ton of his older figures and dragons. They are true art! Compies like NECA and Super7 give you the most details, articulation, and accessories with their figures. But they also cost almost 50 dollars and usually have some kind of QC issues because of the complexity of all the stuff being produced quickly and cheaper as well. Yes, tooling, paint apps, and Toy production are extremely expensive today!
@@Themanchlid yes! I agree. I don’t know what happened. I was a big time Spawn collector in the late 90s early 2000s. The paint was always amazing. I remember Spawn Series 17 was my favorite. The figures were definitely under $20 back then. My god if you compare the new OvertKill figure to the old Overtkill 3 figure, it’s like comparing something to Fisher Price. The overseas materials costs must be so high now. I hope McFarlane makes another Kickstarter because that’s where all the paint went last time. 👍
@mksolid82 I remember reviewing that new Overtkill figure and bringing in the old box set one. The older one was definitely night and day with details. Yes, the older spawn stuff is what got me into the adult toy collecting 25 years ago. I feel like some things are getting better and other things are going backward! It's an interesting mix of old a new today. I heard rumors of another Mcfarlane Spawn Kick Starter figure coming around at some point.
These figures are still worth getting, but Revelation still sucks. If it wasn't for the CGi show coming out at the same time, it would have sunk MOTU like the recolors from 200X did.
I also didn't really care for the show, but like the figures as you see! The CGI show was really fun, and I ththat did help keep the fire burning for all things MOTU. The 200x show was awesome and still holds up. The toys and recolors, not so much! Thanks for stopping in 👍
Wonder why his skin tone is purple as a HORDE member, then blue on his traditional look? KELDOR is a GAR, they have blue skin traditionally. Kinda odd.
It goes back to the redesign of this Skeletor from the Season 2 Revalation Cartoon in a dream sequence that I haven't seen or people in the comments told me about. I guess different color skin comes from the transition of new powers or its a mutation from magic like the color of the different He-man Swords or the Sword of He and who holds it at the time.

Yeah, it's just a Skeletor variant for the most part! The Cape, Head, and Different Color Body can make for some cool customs. I would wait for a cheaper price once this figure gets out! Thanks for checking this review out, too✌️

They're really holding out on releasing an anniversary Masterverse Skeletor (with articulated jaw) to go with He-Man we got a while back. Unless you got the SDCC exclusive with metal weapons! I'm really on the fence with this Skeletor though. Love your reviews and enthusiasm! You put a lot of work into your videos and swapping parts!
Thanks for taking the time to stop in and check out the review as always! I did hear rumors last year of a single card release of the anniversary Skeletor. But I haven't seen any updates yet. Sometimes, there are loose ones on eBay from that set. I was gonna try parts on that one in this review from Horde Skeletor. But many Masterverse armors don't fit because of the over large bucks. It depends. I remember reviewing those two and trying certain parts and armored accessories. I'm glad you enjoy the parts swapping! That is very time-consuming and stressful sometimes to keep pulling things on and off figures!

thanks for doing your usual awesome swaps and comparisons... I'm seriously thinking about doing the leg swaps with the Hordak figure. I painted the bats on mine red and I think it might look super cool on this Skeletor. But then I don't know what to do with my Hordak, but I'm sure I can find one for super cheap since he went to such a deep clearance at Target. Definitely something to consider, and so many options with the cape and armor!

The Hordak parts work out really cool. Certainly thecCape and The Boots. If you use parts off Hordak for this Skeletor. Then just use the Skeletor parts you take off back on the blue Hordak body and make some other variant figure. Or pick another one as you mentioned on clearance! I'm glad to hear you like this Skeletor variant and already have custom ideas planned for him!👍

Yeah, he turned out really cool! What's funny is I had the movie Skeletor out, and originaly did try some custom setups on that figure but didn't film it because I had a problem with the Cape and Head hood design the Angela figure has. It didn't work well from what I tried. So I stopped. Plus, I didn't want to make the review too long. Custom videos can be a whole other thing! The box says revelation because he made an appearance in revelations when evil Lyn was explaining when she met skeletor pretty much what the bio says on the box. When I saw him on Netflix I knew I figure was coming out soon and I can't wait to get one although I do believe that his name on The box should be horde skeletor

I think companies would sell so much more product if they just made more "stoppers" for their molds. This way they could give skeletor the Hordak boots etc. and not waist. I see this problem in all figure lines. They just reuse the entire mold instead of mix and match cause they don't make fillers for the parts they don't need. Some of these gi joes would look so much better if they swapped some pieces instead of reusing an entire body for someone that doesn't fit the part.

At first, I couldn’t recall if we had already seen Horde Skeletor in Revelation or if it was a preview of what was coming in Revolution, but then when I saw the bio, I remembered it was a flashback of Evil-Lyn’s backstory. Other comments have clarified, so I won’t repeat what they have said.
So, I do like his design. However, I’m not really a fan of the soft-goods hood/shroud. I wasn’t a fan when Mattel did that for Andra either. To me, it just looks like something out of a school project with cheap material; but beyond that, I don’t like having to readjust the clothing each time to make it “look right,” if that makes sense. Other than that quibble, I like the way the figure looks. The head sculpt on this one looks great!
Yeah, apparently, this design was inspired by the Season 2 flash back scene as yourself and the other mentioned. I never saw that, but I have heard a little bit about Horde Skeletor and his design before the Revalation cartoon.
He really just another variant with a cool looking skull, new soft cape, and different color skin. I think it's OK. Maybe cool for customs. Some people like the soft hood design. I always liked my Skeletor with the plastic head and face sculpt! Thanks for stopping in to check out his review 👍
I wonder if we'll get peasant lyn, i.e. the generic clothes she was wearing when skeletor appeared with this look to save her. She had a different hairstyle, and if they include multiple headsculpts (of different villiage women) it could be a world building figure.
I guess it's possible! I didn't see the scene on that, or were the inspiration came from for this Horde Skeletor Figure. I only know the early concept history of his rise to power betraying Hordak in the books. They already made two evil lyns from Revelation in the Masterverse line. @Themanchlid they actually made 3 versions of evil lyn, one was a mattel creations exclusive. The flashback scene where skeletor saves her is on youtube, so easy enough to watch for context.

It does kinda feel like this figure is in this wave to save them a bit of money after all these big figures with expensive tooling. Still looks cool though
Yeah, he is just another variant of Skeletor with a few new things and paint. The design came from a dream sequence in the Revalation season 2 show. I never saw that episode. It's definitely a quick repaint to save tooling money. He still is cool in his own way for custom stuff. I appreciate you stopping in to check out this review ✌️

Yes, I have the Classics Batros on the card. They look close, but my Batros looks a little more of a shiny grey color. This Skeletor loos very flat. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 👌

If you are referring to the Origins or Classics one. Then, the armor will fit on both figures. They are the same as the Origins and Classics Skeletor figures I used in the review when showing customs with the parts swapping.

It seems like all of these $20 - $30 figures are being capped when it comes to the paint. Companies are cutting every corner to cut back on colors and wash. McFarlane is also doing this. It’s a real shame. The factory costs must be so high. Something is deff going on.
Yes, this is definitely true! Figures from Mattel and Mcfarlane are really getting the axe with a lack of paint apps or certain details depending on the figure or usless it's an expensive deluxe. it's surprising to see Mcfarlane doing this with his spawn figures, which I collect and review too. The newer articulation is really cool compared to his statue like figures back then. But that stuff had unbelievable details then and cost half the price of figures today. I have a ton of his older figures and dragons. They are true art! Compies like NECA and Super7 give you the most details, articulation, and accessories with their figures. But they also cost almost 50 dollars and usually have some kind of QC issues because of the complexity of all the stuff being produced quickly and cheaper as well. Yes, tooling, paint apps, and Toy production are extremely expensive today!
@@Themanchlid yes! I agree. I don’t know what happened. I was a big time Spawn collector in the late 90s early 2000s. The paint was always amazing. I remember Spawn Series 17 was my favorite. The figures were definitely under $20 back then. My god if you compare the new OvertKill figure to the old Overtkill 3 figure, it’s like comparing something to Fisher Price. The overseas materials costs must be so high now. I hope McFarlane makes another Kickstarter because that’s where all the paint went last time. 👍
@mksolid82 I remember reviewing that new Overtkill figure and bringing in the old box set one. The older one was definitely night and day with details. Yes, the older spawn stuff is what got me into the adult toy collecting 25 years ago. I feel like some things are getting better and other things are going backward! It's an interesting mix of old a new today. I heard rumors of another Mcfarlane Spawn Kick Starter figure coming around at some point.
These figures are still worth getting, but Revelation still sucks. If it wasn't for the CGi show coming out at the same time, it would have sunk MOTU like the recolors from 200X did.
I also didn't really care for the show, but like the figures as you see! The CGI show was really fun, and I ththat did help keep the fire burning for all things MOTU. The 200x show was awesome and still holds up. The toys and recolors, not so much! Thanks for stopping in 👍

Wonder why his skin tone is purple as a HORDE member, then blue on his traditional look? KELDOR is a GAR, they have blue skin traditionally. Kinda odd.
It goes back to the redesign of this Skeletor from the Season 2 Revalation Cartoon in a dream sequence that I haven't seen or people in the comments told me about. I guess different color skin comes from the transition of new powers or its a mutation from magic like the color of the different He-man Swords or the Sword of He and who holds it at the time.
I like the head on this figure probably pass on this one

He is basically just a repait with a new head and a couple of new accessories! It's still cool in his own way. I forgot that he appeared in the Revalation cartoon of season 2 in a quick sequence. Or I didn't see it. That's where the figures design was inspired from!👍
