Honestly this game is a major improvement over Ink Machine. Don't get me wrong, I love Ink Machine, but that game didn't feel like everything was connected. Due to the chapter release system of that game, they were always toying with different ideas and then just implementing them in. The first three chapters did feel more connected, but after chapter 4 it kinda fell apart. Chapter 5 is just a different story to me with how straining and cryptic it felt. With this game, since they made everything together, it all feels like one package.

Completely agreed. The Ink Demon finally getting a voice alone added so much more depth to his character than the two-dimensional generic monster that he was in the first game. Don't get me wrong, I loved the finalized version of Ink Bendy in BATIM, but his lack of clear motives and voiceless status just left him more as an awaiting boss monster (with literally just that one audio log explaining that he was locked away being the only thing that really gave him character). THIS Ink Demon, meanwhile, feels like a compelling character. And most of the other characters get similar treatment (besides poor Sammy lol). Susie!Alice gets a better exploration of her tragic side, Allison and Tom are better used as mentors, and my man Henry FINALLY gets a face plus a good role as a supporting hero and fills us in on some crucial lore. And, of course, Audrey herself is a great protagonist who gets to know these different characters while also being justifiably gobsmacked by the sheer mystical nonsense of the inky studio world. Great character work all around!
If you find all the Illusion of Living books and go back to that table with the chair at the final chapter before you cross the point of no return where Wilson is at, you'll get a secret ending. Also, if you break the barrel in the King Widow's lair, you'll find a secret stash of slugs (fake coins).
