This is why I think social interactions, including dating should be taught in school to 13-14 year-olds onwards. Things like consent, abuse, etc and generally what is 'normal' and what is not, what to expect, what to do incase of violence should all be taught at a young age. It's amazing to me how most people seem to think that some level of domestic violence is 'normal'. Violence should be so taboo that it should be unthinkable, the way rape or peadophilia is nowadays.

Coincidentally, i just intervened in a domestic abuse situation at our estate this morning. I've noticed that in some of these cases, some ladies keeps going back until the violence is at its peak. Which always surprises me. Even though you love the guy, make the hard conscsious decision to leave, don't think about the love. Do it for your kids, cause it builds trauma with time.
