Hello Mat, I have the model indesit XWDE961480, I tried to replaced the sensor but I had problems to position it due to the hole in the seal surrounding the sensor. After opening the heater tunnel, I realized that I could only place the sensor from the outside, being able to remove it from the outside too easily. After placing the new sensor the error continues. I would like to know if the issue with the seal or this hole for the sensor depends on the model? And what should be the correct way to place the sensor, even having this type of seal?. Thanks.
I have a indesit tumble dryer b clas no heat pump but whit regular heater, it start to leaves clothes wet in the automatic programs, i can't find the moisture sensor for cleane it, can you tell me where is it? Thank you so much!
Hey Matt. Thanks for your very detailed clip on fixing this, saved me a bunch. I did have one question, where the sensor sits, the rubber seal has a hold for it and this stops it from being completely wedged when you fix both halves back together. Meaning I can still remove the sensor without the need to take the heat tunnel apart. Would this be a quick release to make it easier switching out sensors in case of future faults or have I put it in incorrectly?
Hi Sean Crow-Brown, you should not be able to remove the sensor without taking the tunnel apart so yours has not sealed correctly, this could cause issues when the dryer heat up so check it again.
Hello, I have the same type of seal, and after changing the sensor that fault continues. Is it possible that for some models the sensor can be changed without opening the tunnel?. I have the model XWDE961480 indesit.
Hi Mat, I have a problem with mu Indesit washer/dryer and I thought that replacing this sensor will fix it. I have widxl106ex which won't stop drying on automatic drying cycle/program. When I use timed program, it stops like it should eg after an hour. Unfortunately for me, my wife didn't noticed what kind of error code was that so I'm kinda repairing this blindly, now dryer wont stop so no error code is shown. As I said changing dryer sensor didn't helped. Do you know which sensor is responsible for stopping automatic drying cycle?
Hi Lukasz, the dryer is controlled by the main board if the sensor has been replaced then just makes sure you meter the dryer element and make sure it is condensing and draining the water away to eliminate everything else before you decide it is the board.

Sorry but to give specific advice we need the full model number.
Brilliant. Fixed my IWDD7143. Just be careful with the two very thin blue wires attached to the sensor. Mine split but easy enough to fix. Thanks.
Hi Andrew, thanks for the feedback. Remember to like and subscribe for more helpful videos in the future.
