My argument against Martin with Emily Blunt's character not having clear motivation. I don't think she supposed to have one clear motivation. I think she's supposed to have multiple little motivation for why she joined up and her motivation then changed as the movie progressed. I mean if I had been shot at and nearly killed by the time they get the night scene, I'd would stick along just to make sure everything I went through wasn't for nothing.
IKR, she been knocking down doors at the border, so she know what the cartel can do. She's idealistic, but by the book. I believe she'd be a bit motivated to bend the rules if they were quite transparent with their shit, but keeping her out the loop just messes everything up.
Yeah, Blunt's character might be annoying sometimes, like that bank scene but its all attributes to everyone being super vague about everything. And many people really think it about her gender, which I believe was never the case for this one. You can put a man in her place, be baited on his idealistic side which lead on him being intentionally left out? He'd act same way as Blunt. If the CIA picked a Fed they know, regardless of gender, who will roll with them and will look the other way, they'd never had this problem in the first place. Then again we won't have an interesting conflict.
You know that's a good question. Why wasn't on the main channel? I think that they only film the review of movie's that people know about it or have heard about. Movie's like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Captain America: Civil War and stuff like that.
